CHANGES IN THE BITCH
Abdomen hair will start shedding
The bitch will start to look pregnant at this point

CARE OF THE BITCH

Ok Now for the pics. lol

Here is a laying down photo so you can see how HUGE her nipples are. The hair around them is already shedding off

That is it for now. Oh her Whelping box now has the lino in it and Sheena loves it. She likes to crash in there becaus eit is sooooo cool to her and helps keep her tummy cool.

If you have any questions let me know. Hope you enjoyed.

Nicole, how long will Sheena's pregnancy be? She looks much more pregnant to me this week (untrained eyes) compared to last week. I wonder how many pups :) and I hope they will all be healthy and strong. Stay cool, pretty Sheena!

The average pregnancy lasts 63 days. Sheena is just starting day 43 today. So twenty more days till her due date. Though many dogs can have them early then 63 days. We have no idea yet how many she will have. Her x-ray to determine that is scheduled for the 2nd of July.

Thanks. Your not the only one. All the potential families want to be notified as soon as the Whelping starts. Even the Service Dog trainer who is getting the donated pup wants to know as soon as the first pup is born. Everyone is very excited.

Ours often whelped at 59-61 days so it definitely does vary.

Maybe it's a little harder to see in photos but I remember mine being a bit bigger by 7 weeks but then dogs can be like people in that sense, some of them end up massive from early on and others hardly look like they are pregnant all the way through.

She'll definitely fill out in the next two weeks.

Thanks. It is hard to see in the photos. To really get a good idea of how big she is you need to compare these to photos.

This one is Sheena at her average weight and size. Very slim and trim

Then look at this photo of her yesterday

It helps to see how much difference there is. But still doesn't do her justice. She is HUGE. lol
