Dad said I can't keep taking PET photos, so I walked around the house and took some of the flowers.

We have lots of these, they look like velvet; but we don't know what they are called. They come in a variety of color combos.

Very beautiful. The first unknowns look like sweet williams, I'm not sure about the big yellow one.

He he, thanks Laura, but the green thumb is my Dad. I buy a plant and you can start planning it's funeral!

I do OK with my little herb garden; but I think Dad does things to it when he is out working and I am in the house cooking. Only thing I 've ever had which flourished!

Yup, several folks have said Sweet William for the red / pink flowers; and coreopsis for the yellow ones! AND I was told both are perennials AND can be divided to spread them out. Very nice.

Your flower pictures are beautiful! I think the mystery flowers are sweet williams too. They are a member of the dianthus family like pinks and carnations. Do they have a sweet peppery scent?

The lily is beautiful too - I bought a big armful of those yesterday in the market here for less than $2.50 American dollars! Sometimes living in Southern China is fun!

How beautiful! I would love coming home to a doorway surrounded by roses! Your dad does a great job growing them, and you did a wonderful job photographing them. :)

Gorgeous flowers, Sandie!! I also thought the top ones were dianthus. I think they're also called miniature carnations(among other things). The yellow one looks like cosmos but I'm not sure. Thanks for sharing. I would give anything to have peonies down here. We just can't grow them in Florida.
