Hey thanks, those ARE interesting. I knew several of them.

This one got to me:

Towser, a 21 year old tortise-shell tabby from Scotland, killed 28,899
mice during her life.

I sure hope Towser didn't leave all of them as presents for her purrents. But then again, she must have, how else would they have a count! Can you imagine getting all those gifts!

THE MORE THAT I READ ABOUT OUR CAT FRIENDS THE MORE I REALIZE WHAT FASCINATING CREATURES OF GOD THEY ARE.
I FEEL BADLY THAT I CANNOT LET THEM ROAM AND I WONDER IF THEY RESENT NOT HAVING THIER FREEDOM.
BUT I REMEMBER MY BOYHOOD CATS AND HOW THEY NEVER LASTED MORE THAN A FEW YEARS DUE TO CARS AND MEAN FOLKS WHO LET THIER DOGS LOOSE ON THEM.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD PLACE FOR CATS TO RUN FREE.

Very interesting, thank you. :)

These two especially.

Reflecting light in the eyes of cats causes a red or green glow...most male
cats eyes glow green, most female cats eyes glow red.

Ailurophile is a word used to describe cat lovers.

Great facts, though I have been told before that whiskers are not for measuring space, but actually used to feel vibrations when stalking and hunting and that the space measuring is just a myth?

I knew about Issac Newton, he loved cats and when he used to work he wanted them to be able to come and go when they pleased and didnt' want to have to get up all the time in the middle of his studying, so he made a hole in the door for them with a device that could open to and fro, hence inventing a cat flap, see he was a genius :D
