I know this pain all too well. I will keep your friend and her pup in my thoughts as well as cross post. :(

Sounds all to much like my girl - scared! Please tell your friend NOT to give up!
Post as many signs as far and wide as possible. If you need help making them up I'd be more than happy to do one in photoshop, just PM me.

Thank you. I've been sending emails to everybody in the hopes someone will spot him and report back. I hope she finds him.

That link won't work, for me. Here is what I tell folks with a lost dog:

Make a psoter, photo and your phone number in LARGE print. Print it out IF you have a color printer. if not, save on a disc. Check the weather for the next 4 days.

Take the one poster, or the disc, to Staples. Have them make color copies. If there will be rain sometime in the next 4 days, have about a dozen copies laminated. If no rain coming, no need to laminate any.

Take with you: scotch tape, stapler which opens to staple on a flat surface, extra staples, and thumb tacs if you have them.

Take one to each vet in the area. They will have post boards for lost pets. If there is a fire or police dept. in the area, take one in to them. Take one in to the local animal control, and any local shelters, rescues, SPCA.

Post at all the area convenince stores, grocery, post office, any place people go often. Make sure you ask permission before you post.

Start at your home, put up posters on the utility poles at every interesection for 1 mile in each direction. Use the laminated ones and the stapler. Non laminated will last about 4 days if there is NO rain.

If there is a school in your area, enlist the help of the kids. Add a reqard, even $25 or $50 wil really get the kids looking.

Finally, put some food out in your yard. But be aware that this will also attract raccoons, skunks and other wildlife.

I couldn't read the post to see if this applies; but I do hope it will help.

I posted a blog on Doggyspace.com - it shows up on the main page until there are enough blogs to knock it down. When it does, I will make a new one and keep it up there. Hopefully it will help get the word out there.

Has she posted on petfinder, too?

Yes please. Thank you.

Thank you also to everybody who is helping out with poster ideas and posting on other websites. I appreciate it. I hope she finds her dog. Her other dog misses him so much. My friend has just gotten a divorce and now she has to call her ex-husband to tell him about the dog. He's going to be so upset and angry at her. She is dreading the phone call. But it's his dog too so she has to tell him.
