Here's Part 8 ~ the final chapter of our trip!

Utah

Arches National Park - made them pose on the sign.
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/289.jpg

Dogs were only technically allowed on paved areas, but I made them pose a few inches off of the paved areas.

Silly Mufasa, blowing in the wind...
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/291.jpg

The both of them. This rock formation was SO thin, it looked like it could fall right over.
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/292.jpg

Posing on the railing...
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/293.jpg

On a picnic table..
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/294.jpg

http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/295.jpg

Of course, we drive 10 minutes down the road and arrive at a little pull-off area -- free & the dogs were allowed to walk wherever. We had to pay for the park and the dogs weren't allowed anywhere but paved areas.

This is Wilson Arch..
"Arch? What arch?"
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/296.jpg

"Ohhhhh... that one!"
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/297.jpg

Making them stop and pose on the hike up there.

Resting in the truck on our way to Colorado.

Colorado

We spent the night in Colorado and then got up the next morning and explored. The weather wasn't very nice to use but I wasn't about to drive that close to 4 corners and not visit! It was very hazy and raining on and off, so my Colorado pictures aren't that great.

The pups in 4 states at once!

Tired pups...

Hovenweep National Monument... It's a little canyon that is about 2 miles around. All around the canyon are ruins. Very neat.

Mufasa
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/308.jpg

Kiara
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/309.jpg

They decided to start playing. I don't think a canyon is the best place to play!
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/310.jpg

Mean mommy made them stop playing and pose..
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/311.jpg

On some boulders...
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/312.jpg

http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/313.jpg

http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/314.jpg

LOTS of free cows around there... Kiara thinks they're lunch.
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/316.jpg

Once again, drive 10 minutes down the road, and find completely free ruins where you can walk inside of them and everything.
These ones are from the Pueblos.

This was a ritual area...
http://petevents.com/~simba/Trip2007pics/319.jpg

Kiara went down in the middle...

These are the stairs to get down...

Annnnddd.. When we arrived home. There was a package waiting for us from a swap on another forum. A great welcome home gift, if you ask me!

Great pictures! Sadie and I were at Arches and 4 corners 2 years ago and we loved it (I'm speaking for her). Looks like Mufasa and Kiara had a great time too though I think they bring fun wherever they go.

Thanks everyone!

I'm kind of sad that it's over. Resizing/posting the pictures let me relive it over the past two weeks or so that we've been home.

I guess we've got to have another adventure... :p

Noooooooo!!!!! It can't be over!! I could NEVER get sick of looking at your pictures. Now I'm sad there all done. So I guess you should just take a bunch there at home to keep us all happy. :p
And I can't pick a "favorite" picture, because there are so many that I like.

Another great set of pictures! I think the one Kari quoted is my favourite. I have to admit though, I was sad when you said it was the last set. Ever since you posted the first one, I'd come to PT everyday excited to see the next. :) I think for your next adventure you should make your way up north, so that Tango and I could spend a day with you, Ki and Moo!

Thanks a bunch everyone. I'm glad you all like that one photo. I had to edit it quite a bit because it was so overcast it made them complete dark blobs.

I'm sad it's over too.

Devan, one of these days I WILL make it up to Canada. ;)

I tried to keep up with your posts from when you stopped to camp. I think the one I will always remember though is when there was that nasty accident that Amy ended up getting into  (sorry Amy :p)

I just got done looking at all 8 threads, it really looks like you all had quite an adventure at every place you stopped! I bet that your mom and Simba were sooo happy to have everyone back home again safe and sound.

Kay, thanks so very much for taking your time to post all your pictures and keep us all informed of your travels...I had fun! It was like taking a vacation after my vacation:D

Hugs and kisses to the furries!

I, too, am sad that your trip is over. It was fun watching the dogs play, explore, and pose for some really gorgeous photos. I got to see things I otherwise probably won't get to see, and had lots of smiles watching the pups along the way. Thanks. :D

That picture of a sleepy Kiara in the truck is too sweet.
