I have a pug, she is a real sweetheart. She is incredibly lazy though, so long walks are out.
Someday I would like to have a dog that would take long walks with me, we would just have to leave Pugsley at home

I agree with Logan. I am so happy with my two Golden Retriever boys. I would accept another, maybe a girl. But I would prefer to rescue an older goldie that really needed a home.

I have checked many Golden Retriever sites, but all are on the mainland and would not allow one to come. Hawaii has a long and expensive quarantine. It is pretty hot at the quarantine facility, a real minus for any animal coming from a cool climate.

No matter the breed, they are all love bugs.

Rachel, there's a puppy mill rescue group that gets bichons a lot. I know you're not ready for one yet but I just saw they have 3 up for adoption right now. I might get my next dog from them. The puppymill stories of the dogs are so heartbreaking and disturbing. Logan...If you had been at the vet the other night with me you would have had to go home with a bull dog puppy! There were five, 5 1/2 week old bull dog puppies in two laundry baskets next to me. Four of them were little boys but the one I fell in love with was the only one awake and struggling to find a way out of the basket. It was a little girl.
