My two neices and my nephew are in this little fun competition every year. They are 10, 5 and 4 years old so they are all in different age groups. But anyway the YMCA puts it on every year and depending on the age group they have to do a certain amount of swimming, biking and running. Its called the Iron Kids.
Well the competition was just this past weekend. My nephew (4) actually won his group..... he swan one width of the pool, biked one lap of the track and ran one lap of the track in 8 minutes.
My oldest niece, poor girl, had to move up one age group and she had to do EIGHT lengths of the pool, two bike laps and two running laps. YIKES that would kill me lol.
My little neice came in 4th but I don't know the specifics of her group.
But I just think this is such a cool thing that the YMCA puts on. The kids LOVE IT and look forward to it every year. and it really promotes exercise for the kids. And they all get little t shirts and a cool little gift pack for entering the competition.
