Does anyone know what it generally costs to ride in a hot air balloon? My good friend confided in me that evry year for ten years since she has been with her husband she has asked for a hot air balloon ride, and he never gives her one. I thought it would be nice to get her one but I hear it's very expensive. Does anyone have any experience and can give me an average price?

I think they run about $200 per person.

Here is what came up with a google search. The second listing is $169 per person.

Check out a balloon festival.

------------

I have always wanted a helicopter ride.

If you want a tour, it costs a few dollars, but at a festival/ county fair a quick trip costs about 20-30 bucks.

This is the mother of all balloon festivals, www.balloonfiesta.com. Imagine 1,000+ balloons up in the sky...breathtaking.

I, personally couldn't be paid to ride in one of those things. After living in New Mexico for 25 years, I've seen more than my share of fatalities. Just be sure that if your friend ever goes, that the pilot is licensed.
