http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/coverfella.jpg Fritz under the covers of the bed this morning.Last night,went up a little after Mom,mom had a shower,he goes to the windows,barks and carries on.Mom was going to put him in his cage if he didn't quiet down,he soon was quiet and went to bed with her.Mom was at the back door scaring Blackbirds at the feeder and Fritz goes off to the front window barking loudly .Tthere are now kids waiting for the school bus,he don't like the kids there,he stands right up in the window barking.Mom has gone to ge her hairdone,Fritz in the window.Supposed to be sunny 55 to 72 from todau until Wednesday.mom has a friend whose husband might have the same thing dad had,she's worried and they are going to see the doctor that dad first saw about it.

Awww what a sweet boy, he sure looks loved. I hope your mom's friend gets good news and that her husband isn't sick like that, it's really hard=(

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/reflection.jpg Fritz in the warmth of the front window,reflection staring back at him.He kept going back in there despite panting like crazy.I tried moving him,no way,he growls so he stays there.We had Big Macs and Fries,ate his before we had our supper.He liked the Fries from me,not Mom.I had some Strawberry Ice Cream for dessert and Fritz got to finish that.Had a little play with the Monkey after that and then on the couch.Had snacks,once that was done,he had some water,went out,then had a play with a Rabbit squeaky and is now under the the couch.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/myfella.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/momsbed.jpg Fritz sleeping on my bedspread this morning and then on Mom's moved there after Mom got out of bed.Someone around here was setting off firecrackers and it scared Fritz and barked like crazy,then ran downstairs,had a bathroom accident in the barroom,wasn't happy with him.I gave him a piece of weiner with a pill in it.Fritz first went to Mom on the bed got off and went to the livingroom then curled up on the bedspread on the floor.A couple of times i woke up andf i heard him dreaming,the pill did its job.I was upstairs a few minutes ago and he was curled up on Mom's bed,Mom can't make the bed.If you try and move him,he will growl,so better to leave him until he is ready to get off.There were firecrackers going off near Larry and Marlene's cottage,scared taffy pretty bad.They have to keep an eye on her,a similar thing happened a few years ago and she went missing for three days.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p//2007-5/1258574/fritzymom.jpg Fritz cuddled up to Mom this afternoon.Fritz had his dinner and i had to give him some water before we left,sat the dish in front of him.Dinner was good.i had Chicken Fingers,Fries and Ceasar Salad,Mom had Potatoes,Liver and Onions,dessert was Coconut Cream Pie.Brought Fritz home a piece of Chicken Finger as a treat.There may be more fireworks tonight,so Fritz will get a pill at 8:30.Fritz found a new place to sleep,under the big rec room couch.Mom has decided we are going to Larry and Marlene's cottage in Haliburton,Ontario on the Canada Day weekend June 30 and July 1,July 1st would have been their 57th Anniversary.Actor Mike Myers has a place up around there,so does Tom Hanks.I will know closer to the time when we go and how long for.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/myfriend.jpg Here is my friend Fritz this morning sleeping on the bedspread.he came up when we did last night.I closed my door to get ready for bed and heard a scratching,he wanted in,I let him in and he made his bed.Not long after he has his paws on the bed,i lift him up,didn't stay long,got back down and made his bed on my bedspread on the floor next to the bed and that is where he is now.Firecrackers were going off again not as bad as the night before,didn't bother Fritz much as I gave him a pill.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/cozyposer.jpg Fritz in a cozy pose with Mom in the chair.Fritz slept away while we went to church,still there when we got back.then Mom went shopping and I cut the grass and Fritz curled up in a corner of the kitchen.We had Potato Salad,Pasta Salad, and Rice Salad with Peas plus slices of Ham.Lemon Meringue Pie was dessert.Fritz had a little of his supper,then begged for some of ours,wasn't until he was done his,he did get a little and did finish his supper and he had a little Pie.We had some Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Squares for a snack,Fritz licked my plate.He had to go out ,then had his dish of water I gave him.Fritz then had a sleep under the small couch.He just come out to get his pill I stuck in a piece of wiener so the firecrackers won't bother him,1 more night after this.Taffy goes in a bathroom at their cottage,is really scared of the noise .

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/fritzsbed.jpg Fritz using my bedspread as a bed last night.People were setting of fireworks again last night and will tonight also.He was under the couch when he first heard it and got out and barked.Ran upstairs and barked then came to bed with me,scratched at the door,came in and he digs at the bedspread to get a good spot to sleep in.It was stil going on and he started to wander,even wanted on my bed ,wouldn't stay and he got down.it took awhile for him to settle down but he did and was quiet he rest of the night.Had his cereal and toast this morning,begged for it,not sure if he had any of mom's toast.Had some sandwich,waves his paws barks,like the meat I guess.I went to toss him a piece and as soon as I tossed it,my little finger hit his tooth and I got a little cut on my right baby finger,not serious.Cut a neighbor's lawn,we planted some Red and White Impatiens in the flower beds,Dad liked these flowers,hope they turn out well.Also got some of mom's old clothes and dropped them off at the Salvation Army across from the church,so have had a busy day.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/sunguy.jpg Sunny Guy Fritz laying in the warmth of the sun in the living room.The drapes were closed so he wouldn't get in the window to cook himself.Ate all his supper so got some of ours which ham, pasta,rice and potato salad,dessert was a Rasberry puff pastry,he had some of that.Fritz slept on the bed while Mom was at gift shop.Had some of that same Pastry for a snack,then he had to go out,is now on the back of the chair.I was busy today,cut one big lawn, worked up my sister's flower bed so she can plant some flowers and a bush from the south side of the front door.Mom will get two smaller bushes ,on one either side.The ones Dad put on the north side always died so we will what happens with these.Mom and I planted some Red and White Impatiens in the flower beds,mom got a couple of hanging plants for the patio, and two potted plants on the front step.No fireworks tonight so don't know where Fritz will sleep tonight.Has now moved to the cool coffee table.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/quenching.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/cuteboy.jpg Fritz in front of the fireplace last night waiting for me to get some water so he can quench his thirst and this morning sleeping on the bedspread.it seems I have a new bedpal.He waits for me to go to bed and follows me up.he jumped right on my bed,bespread still on.I go to move it,he growls but I got it off.I then try and turn the sheets down,he wouldn't move ,he growled so I just left him there.he didn't stay long,couldn't get comfy,so got down and slept on the bedspread again.He sat and begged for cereal and toast,got that,had a drink,then outside and then got next to me on the couch and flipped on his back.helped Mom vacuum the upstairs,moving furniture out of the way,wouldn't believe the dust that accumulates there.It was a warm job but got it done.Fritz doesn't liker the vacuum so he stayed either in the kitchen or out on the patio away from the noise.Fritz had been in the window,followed me to the stairs maybe thinking I was getting lunch,a little early for that.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/slipperboy.jpg Fritz under the dining room table this,had just grabbed Mom's slipper from the bedroom and took off with it.Slept on the bedspread again,woke up barking and went out the livingroom.Fritz eventually came back.At some point,he had a bathroom accident at the front doormat and her got sick and brought up on my carpet,he had some cinnamon bun the night before and he was sick the night before,don't know what from.Had his toast from us and is now in the front window waiting for the kids to go by and he will have something to bark at.I might have to cut my sister's lawn, they are having sewer problems ands may have to rip up the front lawn to fix it,so waiting on that.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/chairpals.jpg http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/curlfella.jpg Fritz on Mom's lap last night,Mom was talking to a friend of ours ,the friend just had to put their Collie down who was 14.Fritz this morning ,nose tucked into Mom's bedspread.Last night,Mom went up,then he hurried and followed,thinking i had gone up.He then scurried back down and on the back of the chair.As soon as i turned the TV off,he was off like a shot and up the stairs.I stopped in the washroom first,he came back down to wait for me and as soon as I came out he floowed me up to my bedroom and slept on the bedspread and was quiet all night.When he got up,he went to Mom's bed and curled up.he then came out had toast and cereal from e,toast from Mom,tyhen outside and come in and had a drink.he has been barking at kids waiting for the school bus,has just been barking again,thinking someone ias coming.Getting a Thunderstorm this afternoon,Fritz will get uneasy and need a pill ,same for Sunday.The Aunties are coming next Friday and staying until Saturday,next Sunday being Mom and Fritz's birthdays.Mom will be 77 and Fritz will be 5.I have one lawn to cut up the street and that is it.It is 70 right now and it is just 9 a.m.

I had Spaghetti and Meatballs and Garlic bread,before that it was Ceasar Salad,Mom had a Pita Wrap and Broccoli Soup,Marlene had some sort of Pasta,Larry had the Spaghetti too with Broccoli Soup.I had Chocolate Ice Cream for dessert,Larry had Mackintosh Ice Cream.Saved Taffy some Spaghetti and Meatballs,Fritz got some of the Pita of mom's with his supper he didn't finish.He is now snoozing under the little couch.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/footcozy.jpg Fritz laying at Mom's feet,keeping her feet warm this morning.He went there after sleeping on the bedspread.Followed me last night from the kitchen to the bedroom,everything was fine until he heard a Motorcycle rev up and off he went barking,he finally came back and somebody had fireworks going and that got him yipping,not for long and he soon settled down.A calendar fell off the wall and that startled him briefly,then back to sleep he went .He had toast and cereal with mer,sat and begged for it.I just saw him upstairs all fours in the air,Mom was having toast wasn't bothering her yet.Getting some rain today so it should help the Impatiens we planted,the shrubs and the Orange Mandarin plant.

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2007-5/1258574/stareyboy.jpg Fritz staring out the window,his reflection staring back.There was someone going door to door in the rain,wanting to aerate the lawn,putting hole in it so the grass will get moisture.He has already been around here once, we said no,don't know why he came back around to our neighborhood again.Fritz stayed in the window when we went to church and was there when we got back.Supper was what we brought home from the restaurant,I had Spaghetti,Mom Broccoli Soup,Fritz had a little of his own.We went and got Blizzards at Dairy Queen,I had a Smarties and Mom a Crispy Crunch.Fritz had a little of the Ice cream from mine,then Mom gave him some Strawberry Ice Cream in a dish.Except for eating, he curled up with mom or me and would look at me to keep scratching his chin.Now he is under the little couch snoozing,hasn't come out in 2 hours,maybe once when he heard me come down to watch the Indianapolis 500.

Oh Fritz you are having another lazy day aren't you? I have to laugh that you keep Barry in line with a little growl now and then. :)

Barry I was puzzled for a minute when you mentioned that Fritz was going to bark at children going to school. For a minute I forgot that you didn't live in the US because today is a national holiday for us - Memorial Day - where we remember all of the veterans of the wars. We had fireworks nearby last night but tonight will probably be the main night for fireworks and displays. Fortunately my dogs don't mind at all (Ripley usually barks at the noise :rolleyes: ) but I thought of Fritz and knew he wouldn't enjoy being here tonight when it gets loud. :)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v334/fritz26/fritz%20pics/shoedog.jpg Fritz grabbed my running shoe and was protecting it under the dining room table.He ate all his supper up,so he had a little meat pie from both of us,plus a little cream filled douhgnuts .Mom was having a rest on the couch,Mom had put her slippers down,don't know how but he got from the back of the couch and took one and went under the table with it.tonight after he had his water,he went under ther big rec room couch,missed Mom go up to my sister's to take Larry a card and a pair of shorts,it is his birthday tomorrow ,he will be 58.Fritz is now up on the coffee table,waiting for mom possibly and more snacks.Tomorrow's supper might be Pancakes, have see on that one.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/bigstretch.JPG ritz with a big stretch on the bed this morning.He flooweed us up when we went to be,went to the window,at some point came to my bedroom and after midnight,i heard him shake himself and he went to mom.Mom got around 2:30 to go the bathroom,Fritz was sleeping at the front of the bed on top of the covers.he went to the windowe when he got up,I got my cereal,he com eover and layed down in front of the couch,then got up beside,giving alow growl,he was hungry,I then gave him some and some toast.He is now in Mom's chair laying down.Wet day today,wont' get much done.Mom got a hose attachment,gives off a big spray,waters the flower beds better than the watering can.Put soem fertlizer on it called Miracle gro Shake n feed.i tcomes in a green plastic bottle,you shake it and the fertilizer comes out,should help the flowers which are growing very nicely due to all the watering,today's rain should help a lot.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/cozybuds.JPGFritz flipped over on Mom's bed this morning.He went to bed when we did around 10 last night.Fritz first slept in the window and sometime later casme and slept on the floor next to my bed.Around Midnight,he heard a couple of teenagers hootng asnd hollering,that got him barking,he eventually settled down and he ended up sleeping at the end of mom's bed.had cereal after he went to the window,was with Mom in her lap as she was talking to my sister.Now in Mom's chair by the TV.The footings are in for the Dad's headstone,we were hoping it could be done by June 17 Father's Day,see what happens.A friend of moms' who Husband may have what dad had is going to see the Doctor Dad saw about it today,he has had trouble lifting his feet.Let you know about it.Possible Thunderstorms later and warm so Fritz may need a pill,Taffy won't like this either,she will hide in their bsasement.

Awww, sweety, I'm sorry to hear you're having a tough time after your vaccines. One good thing, though - when you get them next your family will know this happened and you'll need to take it easy for a few days afterward... could you maybe have a tummy virus on top of the response to the vaccine; could that be giving you the diarrhea? http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/curtainnap.JPG Fritz having a cool snooze next to the curtain.Fritz is much better today.Mom had him on a leash in the front yard,he ate a little grass,brought it up, and then had a roll in the grass.As they were coming in ,Fritz stopped and was laying under the Maple Tree keeping cool,Mom got him going,not too far,he layed down again and she picked him up and brought him in.Had some Bologna from my sandwich and some other meat we were having for supper,sat up and begged for it.For supper,he had a little more meat,sitting and and begging and then sitting next to me on the couch.Fritz then had a little Angel Food Cake and Ice Cream.After supper,he had to go out and do his business,he then kept scratching at the door,i go and he run off,did it several times,I chased around the patio a couple of times,I caught him and brought him back in.Fritz is now upstairs snoozing in a corner of the kitchen.He is taking his medicine like a good boy,gets more tonight before bed.Taffy had to to the vets today,had a bump below her left eye,had a biopsy done,results will be a week coming and my sister will have something to worry about on the weekend .

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/newssnooze.JPG Fritz this morning having a rest on Mom's knee as she reads the paper.Fritz went to bed with Mom, and when i came up he got off and was sick in the hallway.He then went under my bed and ended up sleeping on my bedspread all night.He has been out twice today out in the patio looking for grass to eat,his tummy just isn't up to par.I took him out to the front yard for a walk,before he went out,he had a piece of bacon,we had bacon,eggs and toast for breakfast.Fritz did eat a little grass,hope it helps his tummy.Fritz is now resting beside the a living room chair,head under a little table.

Barry I have to laugh and laugh at Fritz. He is the same way to your mom that Ripley is to me. He has to be on my lap no matter what I am doing. I think Fritz and Ripley feel they need to anchor us down lest we should start to suddenly float off up into the sky or something! LOL!

We are all so sorry that Fritz is still having tummy troubles. Ihope today will be the day that he begins to really feel better. :)

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/steprest.JPG http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/chinnyrest.JPG Fritz out laying on the front step after a walk around the house,ate some grass,did it another time later,brought it up.I guess he does this to get this virus out of him with the help of the medication too.Fritz was on his leash which was wrapped around the railing.Fritz laying his head on the botom of the table next to the chair.Mom and I went to a Chinese restaurant called Mandarin,really good food there,haven't been in awhile.Brought home some Lemon chicken which he liked very much.Fritz then had his own food and has a had a drink,went out to the patio while Mom watered plants.We went to the cemetery to put some new flowers there and two solar lights.Dad's headstone was held up by a rail strike,so won't be up for Father's day which will be a little hard,first Father's day for me without him.Marlene put a little writeup for Father's day in our paper,got me sad.I will get it and write in as post tomorrow.Fritz now is under the little cocuh where he will be foe another hour or so .

I'm with Pam! I hope Fritz will start to really feel better! I'm glad that he's interested in your bologna sandwich and lemon chicken. That is so sad about the headstone, wish it could have been in place for Father's Day. I'm glad you were able to put flowers there. Hopefully the headstone will be delivered soon.

Barry, the newspaper tribute is very touching. My father is gone too and, though it has been years now, I can relate to the feelings expressed in that poem. It is just lovely. I hope today won't be too hard for you and your family.

Fritz will make you all smile I am sure. Just watching that silly boy's antics could put a smile on anyone's face. I hope his tummy is much better this morning.

It sounds like you're coming along and getting a little better Fritz. It may take awhile. It's kinda like that here too-our Mom's recovery is slow but sure. We love all the new pictures of you. Especially the one with your little fluffy head under the pillow.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/shoegrab.JPG Fritz under the table with my shoe.Fritz is back to normal.He had a play with his Monkey and Rabbit squeaky before supper.He sat and begged for supper and barked.We had a Nestle Vanilla Drumstick,Mom gave Fritz some of the Vanilla Ice Cream from it .After this,Fritz layed on Mom's lap,head between hber legs.Mom is now having some Coconut squares,Fritz is on the coffee table hoping for some.The biopsy results for Taffy came in and they are negative.That comes as a big reilef to Marlene and Larry,Larry cried the whole timeat the cottage worrying about,sounds like how Dad was when we lost Ruffles.

http://www.fileden.com/files/2007/6/1/1133242/beddybye.JPG Fritz on my bed this morning snoozing away.He went right up with Mom last,got his medicine and he went to the window.Shortly after,he cameto my bedroom and got up and slept next to me on the bed.He has had his toast and cereal with mne,had Mom's toast,sat beside her and he is now in the window.Getting Thunderstorms today, Fritz won't like but we will get some much needed rain,drying up here,no grass to cut.
