Maneki Neko - Lucky Cat Phinehas (*pic*)

Phinehas's impurrsonation of a Maneki Neko - a Japanese Beckoning Cat. It is also known as a Welcoming Cat, Lucky Cat, Money Cat or Fortune Cat. I've always liked these little kitties:

The second most popular color is white. Since the image of white is purity, some theories point out that the White Maneki Neko indicates purity by its white color. But my personal opinion is that it is just for the convenience of the manufacturers.

Phinehas--That is a remarkable representation of the Maneki Neko! I love them and have at least 3 (one by each entrance) in my home at all times.

I HAVE SOME BECKONING CATS AS WELL AS THERES A GREAT JAPANESE CURIO SHOP IN THE MALL NEAR ME.
