Most of these are common sense but I thought I would post them anyway. I don't have any local dogparks but just in case I am ever near one I thought these were good to keep in mind.

Dog Parks are becoming increasingly popular across
the
country. To prevent conflicts among dogs, a
common-sense
code of conduct has developed:

Take only neutered dogs to the park--unneutered
animals are
more aggressive, and more likely to start fights.

- Clean up any mess your dog makes.

- Never leave your dog unattended.

- Don't offer to watch someone else's dog. A dog
who's
unfamiliar with your voice won't listen to your
commands.

- If you've brought kids along, watch them as
carefully as
you do your dog.

- If your dog is a female, never, ever, bring her to
a dog
park if she's in heat.

Thanks Staci! It is a great reminder. The one that really bothers me is people who do not clean up after their dogs. I always take a couple extra bags with me so I can "clean up" after those who don't. We have a 2500 acre park that is officially a regular township park but is unofficially know as the dog park since dogs are allowed to be off leash there. I don't want to loss that priviledge so I try to do my part to make sure it is preserved.
