Good morning PT friends! I was watching our local news night before last and there was a story about a judge (I think in Alabama) taking a new approach with certain offenders. In one case the judge sentenced a woman to spend a night alone in the woods with no food, blanket, or anything. The film clip showed the sheriff's officers leading her in. Her offense? She abandoned a little kitty leaving it to fend for itself! YEAH JUDGE!!!!!
Have any of you heard anything about this? I think it's a great idea and hope other courts and judges take note of this. It might not put an end to this type of cruelty completely but if it becomes standard practice in other courts just maybe some of these idiots won't be so quick to dump a pet for whatever reason.

Awsome!! a step in the right direction!!

My question is, the next time we hear about someone throwing a pet in an oven, does this mean we should expect to see a person get the same treatment?? cause that is what I will be looking for!!;)

That wonderful line from the Mikado.
My object all sublime.
I shall achieve in time.
To let the punishment fit the crime.
The punishment fit the crime.

I think we're seeing more and more of this kind of treatment for offenders. The judicial system IS finally headed in the right direction.
