I've been making glass beads like crazy lately. The studio I've been renting is closed for a week though so I've been making jewellery this weekend instead. All the focal beads in these pieces are beads I made myself.

My first piece with my beads. I"m keeping this one for myself!

My Northern Lights beads. The first one was a screw-up, but I liked it anyway so I made more like it! There's a matching set of earrings with this one too. The green beads are Czech glass and the black pearls are hematite.

All my stuff so far.

I can't wait til the studio reopens on Thursday. My torch should be waiting for me! I have everything else set up and ready to go at home. Just need the torch and oxygen concentrator!

Awesome work.

I also love the blue one. are you going to sell the rest or keep them too? When I first started making jewelry I didn't want to let any of it go LOL still don't for the most part. :D

I'm keeping two bracelets. The purple one and one made with beads similar to the Northern lights ones. I'm tempted to keep that necklace, but I wear very little green! The rest are for sale. This is an expensive hobby!! I actually have an appointment tomorrow with a gift store owner who might want to carry some of my work. I have stuff in another store in town and a tourist gift shop in Dawson City.

Tamara,

Your work is beautiful - I love the green swirl bracelet (Czech crystals). If it's for sale I would be most interested in purchasing it. Sent you a pm.

Can;t wait to see more, Betty

Wow! Those are beautiful! The one you saved for yourself is my favorite. They are all really beautiful. Are you taking orders? If so, put me in line for a bracelet :D

I'll try not to be too jealous. :p I wonder if Tamara can find another
stone just like the larger bead.I'll still like to have one like it. :)

I think she made the large stone.

I think she made the large stone.

I did. It's a clear glass base with a handpulled grass green & transparent amber twisted cane melted in. I could probably make some similar again, but it would be impossible to make a copy.

My torch arrived yesterday. Just waiting for my oxygen concentrator now, which could be here by Tuesday! Then I will be melting glass at home whenever my little heart desires! I can hardly wait!

Glad you like the bracelet, Betty!

PLEASE be careful!

Be sure ALL you "melt" is the glass - NOT the House! :p

Do you have a decent sized (5 Pound or more) Class A Fire Extinguisher near your work area?
Remember - you're working with *FIRE*!
