With such an extensive list of food and treats being recalled I have pretty much stopped buying kitty treats. I would like to give my fur babies something but I am not sure what at this point. Any suggestions?

I use Feline Greenies. My guys love them. They only get about 4 pieces a night, with Pouncer being an exception since he's sick.... I have yet to figure out what to use for treats with him

The Clan likes to get their Feline Greenies after they are groomed. For those on special diets, I give them a piece of the dry food they eat. All are happy with that!!

I use Greenies dental treats. Cocoa loves them and hopefully they are cleaning his teeth.

Cassie received a bottle of Aquari-Yums as a gift, which we just opened. She's not too keen on "dental" treats.

Three recommendations in a row for feline greenies -where do I get these?

Publix (and other grocery stores) have them the cheapest.

Pounce Chicken & Turkey dental treats - they LOVE them. Temptations or Greenies when they are on sale.

I get a big bag of Medi-Treats at my vet. Both cats love them. I did use greenies for a time, but the vet said the MT's also help with teeth.

I have some special treats like wild salmon nuggets that Oscar loves but gets every once in a while.

I have received Temptations and others as gifts, but am very stingy with those, as I consider them flavoured junk food, to be given as an occasional treat only once in a long while.

AND - about twice a month, when I make myself salmon salad from a tin, and drain and rinse it with warm water, it is split into two small bowls. Two happy lapping tongues can make quite a bit of noise! :D

Taz would have to agree with Joseph. Temptations Baby!!! :D
He got some as a gift a couple years ago for Xmas....I had to buy more. Although, he hardly EVER gets them, so they last for a long time for us.

Well, here it's usually little bags of Royal Canin, since we can't get the fancy stuff like Temptations over here. However, Fister is easy with treats, as long as it's something new, he'll be thrilled. :D I sometimes get small trial bags from vet when I go and buy his food. :)

Fister HAS tried Temptations though - oh and Greenies too, and he absolutely loved it! I gave my vet the empty bag, he will look into it. ;)

Mine all love the Greenies, too. I feel like I am doing them a favor when I give them out ;) I am stingy though and they only get one.

I too will get the Royal Canin Kitten Food as its 2.29 for a pound bag where the Temptations even on special run easily to 6 dollars a pound.
And JJJ3 will eat the Complete Indoor Cat Kitten Dry just as though they were his beloved Temptations.
But really theres his FAVORITES so if I walk past the display, I buy.
