Well, the FDA insisted that Menu Foods account for ALL the wheat gluten they bought from China. Yesterday Menu Foods announced that some DID go to their Ontario manufacturing plant. So Canada is now included in the recall.

Among the products covered by the expanded recall is Royal Canin Canada's Medi-Cal Feline Dissolution Formula canned diet, made by Menu Foods and sold only through veterinarians. A single production lot contained the contaminated wheat gluten, the company said.

They should make a law that if you sell tainted Pet Food and the Companion Pet dies that you are able to be sued for emotional loss and suffering.
The way it stands now they give what the Pet is considered to be worth so if its an ex stray you get nothing.
