Spring is boring!

Nothing to do but nap.

And watch the humans work.

Bring back winter! This was only a few days ago. There's still plenty of snow, but it's too warm for the dogs.

What a bunch of cute, sleepy dogs. Now to me, that's the life. Nothing like a good nap. I sure could use one right now.

What's the temp there right now?
The second to last one looks so peaceful. I'd be tempted to lay on the porch with them.
Gosh, I could only imagine how they'd feel about Florida weather!

So you can't put them in harness at all when the weather warms up? No wonder they hate spring! Looks like you have to move even further north! ;)

They may be bored, but they sure look awfully cute and snuggly. Muskwa looks so sweet when sleeping. Who is the guy in the second picture? I say it's Antare because he is adorable. Am I right?

They may be bored - but it looks as though all is right with the world if they can sleep like that.

So cute - your pups!

Nope, sorry! That's Hobo. He's extra bored right now. He has a bad tooth that is causing him some problems. He can't chew! I have to soak his dinner into a slurry. Food is one of Hobo's great joys in life. He goes to the vet on Thursday. I'm sure he'll need surgery, but hopefully they can fix his mouth pretty quick.

So you can't put them in harness at all when the weather warms up?

They can run in fairly warm temps. They'll start again in a couple months. Right now they are in full winter coat and there is no open water to stop for a swim in, so they overheat quickly, especially the black coated dogs. I usually give them most of April through June off. Let's all the little sore spots heal up and gets their enthusiasm back.

5C has been the daytime high for the past few days. That's 41F. Stuart is wearing shorts! The dogs would not like living in Florida! They would need a pool and air conditioning for sure!

SHORTS in 41* weather!?

Did he fall out of his crib and *bump* his noggin when he was a toddler?

And I suppose you're choppin wood in a tank-top and flip-flops! :p

:D

Nothing to do but nap??!! Did you forget about all the mud you can roll around in? I'm sure your Mom would love it if you rolled around in mud! Try it! :D

Oh, Glacier Family! I was thinking about you all, just yesterday. I wanted to ask how you spend the warmer months! But, now I know.

I would love to nap in the sun with you! Did you know you're precious? (You probably did.) I hope you are having pleasant dreams!

Not that I'm aware of!

He pulls out his summer clothes as soon as it gets over freezing for more than a day or two! Lots of the locals do it. In mid-May, early tourist season, it's easy to spot the locals--we are in summer gear, tourists still have their parkas and ear muffs on! :p

I did wear a t-shirt and vest to town today. I don't even own a tank top, wouldn't be caught dead in one!

Same here in "balmy" Ohio! :p

Short-coated Smokey has blown some undercoat on his rear end;
but Cinder and FLUFFIE-coated Bowser are still in full winter dress.

Maybe the Furry Ones know something WE don't??
Snow in May/June this year???

 Same here in "balmy" Ohio! :pYeah, it's a little weird that they haven't blown coat yet. Sherman has lost a bit of fluff here & there, but nothing like usual. Star's hardly shed at all.
