Welcome Little Lady!!

We went to Milwaulke, WI on Friday to see the Pit Bull we are pulling (and her babies). I was very, very pleased with her. She is such a sweetie!! She is a shorter girl, about knee high. She is very stout and stocky. We named her Lady. Her butt never stopped wiggling while we where there. Lady let me in her kennel at the pound and touch her pups too. The pups all seem very plump and healthy. Lady was temp. tested with a 6 month old mix puppy and passed with flying colors. They said the pup was all over her face and nipping at her, Lady did nothing. She has a lot of scars from a fight. She was owned by a man that had her and two male Pits. The males got in a fight and Lady was basically stuck in the middle. One male was killed by a larger male, the larger male was put down due to aggression. From what we were told, Lady did not provoke the fight. Lady and her six puppies will be coming to our in home rescue on Thursday, April 12th.

Well, the fact that she was there with the pups probably provoked the fight. Poor little girl. I hope things work out well for her and the pups.

Lady was actually still pregnant when the fight accured, but I am sure she was just protecting her unborn pups. It was two large males fighting and she was basically caught in the middle. I am just glad she is safe now and coming to us.

Thanks everybody. We are just about ready for Lady to come here. We are setting her up in our master bedroom so she could be away from the other animals. I will post pictures of her when she gets here and settles in. I hope everybody had a nice Easter. :)

This is not the same mama. The other dog was brown and white. This one, Lady, does have scars and healing sores from being attacked by her mate and another male pit. But she is healing nicely as well.

Lady is very pretty! Her pups are as cute as can be, too! I'm so glad that she is no longer owned at a dog fighter. It breaks my heart that people could do such a thing... :(
