The past couple of weeks we've had 2 new cats that have been coming around our front door, very feral. One is pure white with what appears to be a damage eye. The other is a kitten size tortie. I mentioned to Kevin how cute it was cause it was always sitting on it's hind legs like a rabbit.

I'm still having health issues and have been going to bed very early. The night before last Kevin woke me up and said the little tortie's front legs are either broken or deformed. Since this illness I haven't had much incentive to do anything. I pretty much force myself to work and when I come home I just plop down and don't do much of anything. Well this baby has really put the incentive in me to catch it. Kevin's already called the vet and told them what to expect, hopefully sometime this week. Problem is we do not see this baby on a regular basis. We will start setting traps on Sunday evening so please wish us all the luck. This little girl is in desperate need of our help. We will also, of course, trap the white one also.

When successful I will try and post some pictures.

Oh, poor little kitten! Bless you and hubby...I hope they are easily caught and the calico girl is healthy soon...hopefully she has a birth defect, I hate to think of the pain of two broken legs!

HUGS and prayers to you all.

Lisa, I hope you are mending!

Isn't it amazing how these kitties KNOW the right house to go to for help when they need it? I have NO doubt that a higher power led that baby to your house and will see to it that you can catch it so you can do what it was led there to have done.

I will still wish you luck and hope it don't take long.

I too think it was led here for 2 reasons, first and most important - to help it..and second, to help me try and get back into things.

Catty1 - I'm going to a pulmonary specialist on the 17th. They will be testing me for valley fever and some other things. This has been a long illness and has left me with little energy and very weak.

You and hubby are just angels. I hope that you can catch kitties soon. The world needs more people like the two of you. Best of luck, Monica

I hope you are able to eat...has your doc suggested any iron or vitamins to try and help a bit while you are waiting?

I hope they nail what it is quickly and get it treated!

{{{{hugs}}}} and PT Prayers for you

Just post when you can.

Hope you catch the little one, Lisa. But more importantly, I hope you find out what's causing you to be sick all the time! Seems you're just getting over pneumonia and then you come on here and say you've got it again. I can't help but worry after seeing what Slick's pneumonia led to.....

Good luck....on all fronts! :)

I so hope you'll be able to catch these two, and hopefully they're not in too bad a shape. Lisa & Kevin, you're such wonderful people - always doing everything you can to save the kitties. :) I so admire you for this.

Please don't wear yourself out completely, you need some time to relax and get your strength back. Do you know anyone around who could help for a while?

Get better - and best of luck catching the kitties!

Valley Fever is nothing to mess with. I know two people I work with at the Univ. of Phoenix who have nearly died from it. I was led to believe it would be the "newer" residents of Phoenix & the Valley who were prone to get this, yet they are both native Phoenicians. I hope they find out what's wrong, and get you going on a course of treatment to fix it!

Good luck with the little ones you're trying to rescue. You're doing a good thing. :)

We Are Sending Two Prayers.
That Your Doctors Can Find Out Whats Making You Ill, And That You Can Catch And Help Those Poor Feral Cats.
Thats A Shame That You Are Not Well And We Hope That They Can Find The Reason Why.
And We Are Sending Some Porch Angels To Convince Those Ferals That You Are Going To Help Them.
Nugget Angel With Some Buffet Treats Should Be Able To Lure Them Into The Cages.

It's very worrying to all of us that you are going to work when you should be trying to get well, and that includes lots of bed-rest. Old-fashioned and boring as it sounds, it's still very necessary. Does your work place not provide good sick leave, is that why you insist on going to work when you shouldn't? I wouldn't be so impertinent but your health issues concern me.

On to the cats. I'm so glad they found you, and that you are working on getting them scooped up and to the vet. If the one with front leg problems has something like radial hypoplasia, like my Surya, I'm sure Jan will be able to put you in touch with people who make a speciality of adopting these very special needs cats. Surya sits up on his hind quarters like a rabbit also, that's why I'm wondering if that's what it is. Either way, injury or birth defect, it's awful to think of her surviving on her own.

Lisa, I'm sorry to hear that you're still not feeling well.:( I hope that the pulmonary doctor will be able to help you and diagnose what's wrong with you. I've never heard of Valley Fever.

Good luck with trapping both cats. If any one can trap them it's you and Kevin.:) I hope that whatever is wrong with them isn't anything life threatening. Please continue to keep us updated about them and about your own health. Take care.(((HUGS)))

Lisa, I am not often enough at PT these days, so I missed your sickness.
I am sending my best thoughts that you can overcome it- to help little Torti and many others.

Thanks everyone! We're feeling distressed since we haven't seen the kitten in the past few evenings. We fear the worst, but still have some hope. The white one is hanging around more and more so I don't think we'll have problems trapping this one. I will keep you all posted and again thanks for your well wishes.

I hope you catch these babies and everything goes well, also best wishes to you for a speedy recovery and hopefully you'll get back into the things you've previously enjoyed so much.
