For anyone interested and in the area, Alpaca Ontario is holding its' annual Alpaca Show. This year at the Orangeville Fairgrounds...

By the way the paca wool you sent is soooooooooooo soft and silky I almost want to rip out what I am doing with the left overs just so I can work with it again ! :D

Nope, none of ours are being shown this year - its a lot of trouble to bring them all the way out there to get a ribbon and award. It works well for people that want to breed them, but since we're really just a fibre farm, and not a breeding farm it doesn't matter quite as much :)

I've updated this thread to include the weblink to the Saturday portion of the show - fibre and halter show for anyone interested. See the updated first post for details. The show starts at 9am EST, and can be viewed via live streaming at mms://ten.tv/fair (cut and paste into the 'File-Open' portion of Windows Media Player).

I would love to go however I'm pretty far away with no transportation. :(
