How about when we hear a fly in the house? We can not see the fly but we sure do know that there is one here somewhere.

OMG!!! That is just to cute for words! They look like they actually can see what they are looking for/at! They sure have matured into beauties and it takes my breath everytime I see them.. They look so SOLID! Not a ounce of fat on them anywhere, they are all muscle.

It's just amazing how that little one gets around with no eyes. It's a blessing your took that one in.

Wow! I was just going to ask if they had an eye problem. I don't know their histories. Can either of them see?? They are absolutely gorgeous cats!

Thank you for asking. I adopted these two babies from QueenScoopALot (Jan). They were found all covered in insulation in the back of a truck.

Dude, whose real name is Gabriel was born with Micro-Opthalmia (small eyes). He can only see shadows.

Gracie on the other hand was born with an eyelid that never closed. Her really bad eye had a large ulcer on it and therefore I had it removed. Her other eye had a small ulcer on it but it has progressed to almost her entire eye. She still has some sight out of it, but not a lot.

They constantly together. Gracie usually starts all the trouble but this time it was the other way around. I love them to pieces and they sure do make my husband and I laugh everyday.

Oh my goodness!! I'm sure the insulation didn't help matters! They look happy and healthy, which is fantastic! I've seen different eye maladies in the shelter, and one of the kitties that was adopted a few months ago must have had what Dude has. They thought he had entropian, where the eyelashes turn in, but his eyes look exactly like Dude's do. We also have a FeLV kitty who had an eye that ulcerated or something (it looked like no eyeball was there anymore, and it was all bloody), but we made sure to keep meds on it, and she is looking fantastic, and you wouldn't know she almost lost her eye. I really didn't think that it would have been able to be saved, it just looked horrendous.

Bless you for taking those little sweeties in! They are just adorable!

Meg,

My cats LOOVE torturing anything they catch flying in their house. Shortie Girl is the worst. She loves to bat her "snack/toy" around a while before she munches on it. :p

Thanks for sharing those adorable pictures! :D

None taken. Anyone that comes into my house or see's pictures of these two always ask and I'm thrilled to tell about them. They are as normal as any other cat. If you could watch these two in action you would swear that they have perfect vision....except of course when Dude happens to run into something that I may have placed on the floor or when he jumps on the bed and the laundry basket is there.....ooops. Mommy's bad.

Thats such a touching story.
When Gracie and Gabriel came to thier first Pet Party the Angels were of course ready to help, only to find that they really didnt need any.
These Little Cats are so self sufficent and very self reliant.
They will have a ball at the Buffets where they go to the Sea Food right away.
Thank you so much for that update.

I love the kitchen cupboard raid. Those photos are great. Then, when i learned that they can't really see, they are working a lot by smell, feel, etc. WOW! Nothing is safe from this dynamic duo!

As for fly chasing, I usually HAVE to get involved and get the darn thing. Otherwise, lamps, vases, frames, are all at risk.
