I know you love your cat but good god, you let it sleep INSIDE a paper shredder! I wish I could post photos of animals who have been damaged and mangled by shredders. All it takes is for someone or an animal to not look and turn it on whether on purpose or by accident. This is such a horribly bad habit you are perpetuating and if you really really love your kitty KC you will not allow this any more. Pull shredded paper out and put some in a cardboard box if that is the favored sleeping material but keep your animals away from paper shredders PLEASE!!!!!!!!
