Anyone know where I can find the cross stitch pattern with the poem:

"Cleaning and scrubbing can wait till tomorrow
For babies grow up we learn to our sorrow,
So quiet down cobwebs, dust go to sleep,
I'm rocking my baby and BABIES DON'T KEEP."

I know that my Mom stitched it back in the day but I can't find any patterns with that particular poem on it now! I would love to be able to cross stitch this for my boys :)

I found these on Ebay --

(auctions ended) But at least if you like the patterns, you could get a craft store near you to order -- one is by Janlynn, and the other is made by Sunset Patterns, No. 13068
And this

You could also look through these links on google, they might help

I have the same poem stitched and hanging in Mimi's room. My Grandmother made it and hung in my mother's room as an infant, and my mother hung it in mine. I'm hoping Mimi will do the same with her children.

It is a perfect motto with young children too.

I have done many verses and poems in cross stitch, making my own design. Just get some graph paper and plot it out in whatever font you would like (there are books available in craft stores which just specialize in alphabets). Then plot it all out, choose your colors and add your own design. It is harder to do it this way, but you will end up with an *original.*

Missy there are such good replies here! I always loved that poem. It was pretty popular back in the 70's among "crunchy" moms ;)

Perhaps I am slightly more crunchy than I'd like to admit :p ;) :D :D
Thanks for the help everybody :) I should be able to order a kit so I shouldn't need the software but thanks so much! I'm so excited to go look for the pattern and get to work. I probably don't have time to finish a project before baby #2 gets here but I can certainly get started :)
Pam, I am NOT creative enough to do that :D I know me and knowing myself I would try and fail miserably and then be very angry at myself for not being perfect! That is a cool idea though :)

Was that the software that came with the Canon printer a bunch of years ago? I lost my CD and i'm still kicking myself in the backside over that one :(
All i have now is software to make custom embroidery patterns ... but the crossstich one was great!
