As referenced in THIS (http://petoftheday.com/talk/showthread.php?t=124441) thread, it looks like several cats will be pulled from THIS (http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/PA145.html) high-kill shelter this weekend.

I am getting Hobo and Finn.

Jennie is taking Mystic. (OOPS, I mean Marty :o )

Her parents wanted the 2 maine coons (Honey and Shyla) but it looks like they will be adopted this week! :) (Maybe they will take another?? ;)

And these others are also being taken by One by One foster moms:

Ivory
Marcus
Shamrock
Pebbles
Samantha
Tipsy
Juliet

And possibly a new Siamese that has not even been posted yet!!!

I feel very good about such an accomplishment. :D

I'm actually taking Marty, the tuxie :D Love them tuxie boys!!!

I also just emailed Sandy and Kathy and said I'd take Blossom as well because she looks like she needs a foster home badly. She's a scared young mommy cat. :(

I'm glad the maine coon girls are getting adopted, but my mom and dad were really excited to foster (to adopt) them. Not sure if there is another young one there that would blend with their crew. Will have to see.

Hobo will be staying at Petsmart as a veiled attempt to get ME to fall even more in love with him! Of COURSE I'll have to stop by and play with him.

One by One doesn't just randomly pull cats from shelters. We have worked with this particular shelter (Huntington) in the past so when they asked for help we knew they would transport them to us and they were already fully vaccinated, tested, etc...... AND we can only take as many cats as the fosters can house. After this transport I can bet there is no extra room. :( I am actually (gladly) surprised that there was THIS much room!

I wish I could pull them out...I just don't have the room :(

I'm praying someone will take them in and give them a chance.

Thats fantastic news!!
Every Cat that can be saved is a victory for Cat Lovers everywhere.
I know that at the Animal Welfare Association it just seems as though the parade of unwanted Little Faces never stops.
That must be frustrating that so many Pets are suffering because some people wont grow up and face responsibilities.
We are so happy that these Cats are getting a second chance.

I also asked them to send Blossom up here. She's the shy young momma cat. She looks like she needs some fostering and love and care.

That is so great you guys! I am in awe.
It irks me that these places are called humane yet kill the cats...that makes no sense to me.

What a great team you all are :) There are so many kind people here. It's a shame that their are not enough commercials on TV advertising the cats in need for homes at shelters. That's really the only way to get at familys.
The only thing they all really do after working all day and after Dinner is sit around and watch TV.It would be great to have many commercials about this need for help.
