They have expanded the recall list, so you need to check the list again for the foods in your cupboards and closets.

Go here:

http://www.menufoods.com/recall/

The top listings have NOT been updated. The lower listings, specific for cat and for dog, HAVE BEEN UPDATED AS OF MARCH 23, 2007. Use those links.

This is just terrible! :( While I do not feed my cats or dogs any of these foods, who knows what will be added next? :( Thanks for the updated link.

It's scary to think, when will this end? :(

Thanks Sandra.

This ABC report suggests this might be far from over. :(

Is it all still for the canned and wet foods?

This report sounds like it was written before they found out that it was rat poison, though...not that it changes the outlook that this is not over. :(

Finn's Mom - so far, yes, canned and wet. No dry foods. They have added a few brands, AND in the brands already listed, they have added more date stamps.

Now they are also discussing that what has come up so far are the "acute" cases - where the concentration in one pouch or can was enough to case immediate kidney problems. They are anticipating a second round, of "chronic" cases, where one feeding alone didn't do it but repeat feedings have caused a build up of the toxin and the pets are slowly being poisoned and getting sick.

UGH!!

Im sure next it will be dry food, i hope whoever did this gets in some serious trouble! I know some of you feel the same, but these are just not our pets but our family, our furkids! I sure hope it doesnt travel to the dry, but who knows! thanks for the update!
