Due to the back surgery I had 3 weeks ago, I haven't been posting very much. I must say I had the best nurses around me all the time. So I had plenty of time to take pics of my sweeties, because all I could and was allowed to do is lay down and rest..... .What is better for my soul than several purring cats on and around me (tummy, legs, shoulder, etc...). So, I think they all deserve a new post on Cat General.

So, dear Maya, Inka, Zazou and Snoopy: THANKS a million for all cheering up your meowmie every day!

Maya and Snoopy are such great loving sisters. They loving sharing a bed and groom each other

Zazou often helps doing the dishes. She also loves to sit on her "watch-tower" where she can see the whole garden and our livingroom as well!

Wherever my Inka is, be sure that she either found a ray of sun, or a soft blanket

PS. It is now 3 weeks since surgery; but there isn't much improvement at all. I know that the recovery usually takes six months, never realized it would be so slow..... .

Great to see you again, Lut! And it's wonderful to know you have been getting the very best health care possible.

We're sorry the recuperation seems to be taking so long. Do your very best to relax and take it easy and let your devoted nurses provide you with their expert Tender Loving Care.. and before you know it you will be better than ever!

Happy Spring to you and your whole big two-species family!

Love with hugs and purrrs,
Pat, Peony, Sydney, Priscilla, Poppy, and Elmer

How purrfect is that! Yes, our furkids are better for us than a psycatatrist. Take good care of yourself and glad to hear that you're in good company. Better and better.

My lovely Inka, My heart is leaping with absolute joy as I look at your beautiful face. I know that you and your sisters are very busy taking care of your Meowmie and helping her get better. She really needs all of you now. Just be sure your Meowmie follows your expert advice.

When your Meowmie is all better, we will make plans to go away for some R&R for a few days. The Delaware Water Gap is quiet and a beautiful place to be. We can go camping there and go for romantic walks on the nature trails. There are lots of waterfalls and mountain scenery you must see to believe. Imagine a cozy campfire every night and plenty to eat. I'll convince my Meowmie to pack us some fried chicken and get us a good supply of Temptations.

Would you please tell your Meowmie that I send her a big hello and hope she feels better very soon. And don't forget to give her some purrs, headbumpies, and kitty kisses from me?

Missing you :( :( :(

Purrs, headbumpies, kitty hugs, and kitty kisses,
Love,
Your Groucho

Ah Lut, how good it is to hear from you. I am sorry that the recovery is slow, but just think - three weeks have already flown by - and soon you will be feeling much much better.

How could you not feel better? You have the very best in nursing care and they are excellent at showing you the importance of relaxing and not worrying.

Could you give each of the nurses a snuggle for me?

What sweet girls for keeping mommy company! Oh and Zazou is such a nice helper cleaning the dishes for you too! ;)

Lut, I'm sorry your recovery is going so slowly .... I think sometimes it does seem to start that way, then it reaches a point where it really takes off!

Hugs,
Kim

Why Lut's furry nurses are better ... contributed by a non-fur nurse!!! :) feel free to add!!!

They don't have cold hands (when I worked on the units I always had patients telling me my hands were cold)
They aren't crabby about scheduling or staffing issues
They aren't wearing squeaky shoes
They can plop their entire body down on their patient
They probably smell a heck of a lot better than some nurses I've crossed paths with
They don't have to deal with irritable doctors or their illegible handwriting
They have a vested interest in taking care of their patient!

Feel better, PT-friend Lut! You are right - nerves are very slow to heal. I think your furry nurses are beautiful!
