I have found that a whole bunch of members her can't get enough of cute little bunnies, so this is a thread where we can all get together and discuss our bunnies, share pics and just get lost in the world that is bunny rabbits. Can't wait to here from all the bunny lovers out there.

None, and I checked I don't want one, but only because right now I don't have the time to devote to making a bunny happy. I would love to get a Tan (the breed, not a tan-colored rabbit) someday though!

[x] None of the above
My nephew had a bunny growing up. His name was Winston, he was all brown and we used to say he was the color of a chocolate Easter bunny. He died in 2003 from heart failure and the veterinarian said he'd had a long life for a rabbit. He was 7 or 7 1/2 years old. His favorite foods were rabbit kibble, strands of hay or a piece of carrot. He liked to hop on the carpet, but not on the tile. The first time I bunny-sat, he hopped out of his hutch and hid under my nephew's bed. That was in the evening and when I came back the next morning, he was in his hutch, waiting for me to give him breakfast like nothing had happened! We went to the state fair shortly after Winston died, and I couldn't even look at the bunnies. I hope the rainbow bridge applies to bunnies too because he was just the greatest. My brother is allergic to pet dander but never had a problem with Winston, and we never figured out why that was. Bunnies are so soft!

I have my one bunny Kishii...which I am lucky my parents even let me have. If I could I would love to have two, but I'm more of a person that likes to give all my attention to just one type of pet. I have one cat, and one bunny, and one main fish that I love and give them all my attention!

Soo...a bunny fanclub huh? I WANT TO JOIN!!!:D Bunnies are very awesome!

Well I got some GOOD news!

I missed having my old bunnies and now finaly I can have ONLY 1 pair.

I'm going to have one breeding pair of rabbits, there going to be good quality and some show breeders are already on my waiting list for the babies, the father is going to be an orange pure breed mini rex and the mother a F2 velveteen with stand up ears. I'm only going to breed them twice a year till they hit the age of 3 to 4 then I'm going to get them fixed .. the breeder told me to do it this way.

My dad agreed to this and there going to have there own pen downstaires as my dad made the room JUST for the bunnies! oh and my 2 pigeons with there large flight cage shall also share the room. :D

I don't have the mother yet but here is the father ''Pumpkin''

I used to have rabbits, the first was Bo-peep:

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/Zsa-Zsathemostbeautifulgirlever009.jpg

who was my first pet to call my very own. She was a mini-lop and was totally gorgeous. She lived for 6 years and she was the first pet I ever lost. :(

The second was Cookie:

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/scan.jpg

a lionhead/dutch mix. Unbeknownst to the younger and inexperienced me at the time, he had most likely been badly bred and had a heriditary tumour, which eventually claimed his life at just 2 1/2 years old. He had to be PTS boxing day 2004, and his death greatly shook me and was one of the worst pains I've ever experienced.

I don't have a bunny right now, but thankfully every Saturday I get to work with lots of them at the shelter I volunteer at. I've been trying to convince my mum to allow me to rehome one particular dutch cutie, but unfortunately I do not come from a family of animal lovers, and I'm not allowed.

I really like rabbits, but I definately couldn't see myself owning one. I've been around plenty and most were very sweet and oh so soft! =]
My ferrets are plenty of work for me, and I fear I wouldn't have time for a rabbit.

I don't currently have one, though I look forward to the day I once again do have one. I've had 3 bunnies in my life- all rescues. My first was a dutch, the second was a Holland lop, and the last one was a mini rex.

Hey monica. i took these pictures last night. I didn't know your real name then, so sorry.

It was so funny trying to get these pictures. Boof kept grabbing the sign and throwing it away. i got some pics of that too. It the end he started eating the sign. Maybe he is just jealous of Benny. lol. After all two males don't get along very well. Just ask Boof and Smokey. lol.

Well I just got my baby bunny Ceyla. I have picturess of her I will put up tomorrow if I get on. I'm not entirely sure of her breed (i got her from the school because the vet science class was doing rabbits and every year they breed them). She's schizo...i swear. She wakes me up in the morning...I mean EVERY morning at 7:47 since I got out of school...(bummer) haha. She eats all my oatmeal and chews on the hair between gracies toes (my golden retriever). She has 2 dots on each side of her nose and 'eyeliner'. grey ears and a little line of grey going down her back. She is litter trained. Shes spoiled rotten (my dad goes to the grocery store...gets her carrots and celery and apples and stuff and wont even get me cereal.)...she goes in and out of her age as she pleases. She runs around my room, sleeps on my bed, screws with Gracie...chases birds in my yard. She's like a puppy/kitten combo! But I love her to death. And because Gracie doesnt seem to mind (she actually tried avoiding Ceyla...lays on the couch but Ceyla jumps right up onto her haha.) they both are in my room all the time. (pics coming tomorrow)

I have Kari, I have had her for a while now, she is 4 years old, and I adopted her from the Humane Society when she was 5 months old :) quit the Bunny she is, I would LOVE another rabbit but I dunno how another would deal with so many dogs. Kari is a very...different. I mean the very idea of her getting so frightend as to have a heart attack is laughable lol. just last week, when Rusty(JRT) met her outside the cage for the first time? he chased after her like "DINNER!" where Kari wasted no time slamming Rustys head to the floor, and giving him a nip in the nose. he was so confused he sat their crying and Kari sat in my lap growling at him lol. a few days ago, after I gave Kari a bath(where just she layed down completly relaxed in the water while I washed her) I let her outside to dry in the sun, then after I brushed her I let her play with the dogs. Rusty? he was SUBMITTING to her. I thought it was hilarious, watching a JRT totally sumbit himself to a RABBIT lol

You get to dig through the groceries for treats. Wow. That sounds like so much fun. Do you get to run and hop over the whole house? Dad says I have to stay up in my room, I can't come in the kitchen, but that's ok because Mommy brings us treats.

he does not sleep with me while i am asleep, i am too scared that i will roll over and squash him. last night my other mummy (my mum bernadette) fell asleep on the couch, so i got the run of the house ALL NIGHT. i was asleep in my corner on my rug most of the night, but i did jump on mumm bernadette once during the night. naughty mummy fell asleep without changing my water, so in the morning when she woke up, this is what she woke up to:

Ah! I love that picture of boof! When Ceyla tries to drink out of cups...she knocks them over. Everywhere. Then makes a point of rolling in it.

She has now discovered that she has the ability to rip my walls up. I have a slight overhang in my wall, and then below is the trim. Well, she likes to rip the paint off the wall and chew at the drywall. So I have to block off sections of my wall from her. Oh. I have trophies on my windowsill, and when she wants to lay out and watch the people, she picks up the trophies and throws them on the floor. Shes also using my trash can as a litter box...which she knows I dislike. She destroyed our living room, so now my mom wont let her downstairs. I have books in my room, and I had them sitting in a pile on my headboard thing, and she picks them out and chews them. She has plently of toys too.

Ahh...and as an update on her skinny ness...

well I've been feeding her pellets. Now shes getting fat. I think shes a mini rex...I got her around mothers day and shes only grown a little.

lol. i have a new boofy story. i was in the bath on monday just relaxing, and boof was asleep in the bathroom on the bathroom scales. (he loves that spot) anyway i was just reading in the bath when i heard boof scratching at the door. i looked at him and talked to him telling him how cute he was, but i couldn't be bothered getting out of the bath to let him out. Well, he had other ideas! he kept begging at the side on the bath, and even licked my hand. when he still didn't get what he wanted he almost gave me a heart attack by jumping up on the bathtub ledge. all i heard was the crash of all my cleansers and masks and a mirror falling on the tiles, and boof's head popping up next to me. the only thing was that he didn't realise that the ledge was so thin, and he almost went headfirst into the bath. His whiskers just touched the surface of the water. lol. he sat there in shock for a second, then sniffed the water again to make sure it wasn't solid. then he tried to turn around but the ledge was to thin to turn around, so he just ended up shaking on the spot. I had got the message after that, so i got up and let him out the door. lol. he is such a spoilt rabbit that when he doesn't get what he wants, he lets you know. lol. he is such a cute.

On a different note, i bought a silver heart locket with engraved butterflies on it. inside i have a picture of bunnikins (my deceased bunny) and boof, so that they will always be close to my heart.

Oh Sarah the pictures of Boof are amazing. How do you get him to pose like that???? I have never seen a cuter or more intelligent rabbit. He makes me smile and giggle.

Boof even though we are far away in distance you are in my heart and thoughts. What a wonderful bunny you are.

Sarah when you get the calender done I would like to purchase one.

You have inspired me to try to take some pictures with Benny. I did take some at Easter.

Benny that hat really suits you. lol. monica i had to show my mum benny's cute pics. she is a major benny fan. who could not be a benny fan?

Mum asks how you keep bennys fur so white. boof is part cashmere so he has slightly longer fur and his butt is always stainedthis yellowy colour. we always have to brush the hair near his butt because it gets matted. he doesn;t like that.

boof has so much extra skin, when he is sitting down he looks like he is wearing a skirt. lol.

Benny is a patient and gentle bun. He has never bitten or even growled. His heart and soul are pure love. I am blessed.

As for how I keep him so white, I don't do anything in that area. LOL He is just white, but he does shed a great amount three to four times a year.

As most people know I have my two bunnies, Benny and Snowy. I usually get home from work around 6pm and go right into their room and give them fresh water, hay, pellets and do their potty. Last night Steve and I were out till almost midnight. I came home and there they were as soon as I opened the door to their bedroom two bunnies waiting patiently for their mom. Two sweet faces looking up at me. Benny ran to his food dish and lifted it up, as if to say "Hey don't forget the pellets". I brought them some fresh parsley to munch on. How I love them. It's such a joy having bunnies, their sweetness and love is so precious.

Awww that is adorable. Boof throws his food bowl when it is empty as well. And if we lock him up in his room for too long he will pout in the corner. lol,

Yesterday well put him outside for a run. boof used to like going outside, but now he is getting lazy. lol. He runs back up the steps and sits in front of the back door. he does it so often that we have now put a mat there so it is more comfortable. he loves it. Now he would rather stay on the mat at the top of the stairs cause he can run down and play when he wants. sometimes he will scratch at the door when he wants to come in.

Two days ago I went and picked some dandilions for Benny and Snowy. Now that the growing season is over they won't be getting much fresh food except what I buy every other day at the market. One thing bunnies love love love is Weeping Willow branches and leaves. My neighbor who has such a tree left a huge brown bag (the kind you put grass clippings in) by my front door and the buns have been munching on some of this for months now. It doens't matter that the leaves are dry, they still love it.

Does anyone here have their bunnies in a NIC cube type condo? I hate that Oslo's cage is so low and dark and makes it a lot harder to interact with him/make him part of the daily activities. I've really not been giving him the attention he diserves lately.
I think I may go for it and make him a very cozy cage somewhere out and more in all the action.
