My work informed us today that corporate has been told officially by these companies that there has been a recall on the following CANNED dog and cat foods:
Sophisticat and Sophisicat Supreme
Grrreat Choice
Iams
Eukanuba
Nutro
Authority
Award
Science Diet
Mighty Dog Pouches
Mixables
The cans they came in are contaminated and are causing kidney failure and death (there have been 10 reported deaths so far). Many dogs and cats are exhibiting "upset stomach" symptoms such as runny stool, throwing up etc. If you’re pet eats these canned food please stop giving them it now and watch for signs that they may be ill.
My boss's dog was very sick earlier this week because he eats canned Nutro. He had to get IV fluids and some medcine to calm his stomach, luckily he is ok now, but he is one of the lucky ones. I feel bad for the owners that have lost there beloved pets because of this.
