You all know these "you've got mail"-thingies that some email programs have. Mine comes only with two boring voices, one male, one female, telling me that I've got email.

Yesterday, I decided to replace them with a feline voice, and Lily was a good girl and helped me with that. :)

This is what she said:

Now this is what I hear everytime I got a new email! :) And the cutest thing is, she always replies when it plays. :)

Hi Kirsten, Your Lily sounds so darn cute on that message. And she's such a talented little kitty girl! I love both Lily and Luna, not only are they beyond beautiful they both are so talented and so sweet. Good job, Lily! Thanks to you, Meowmie will never miss an e-mail. Kirsten, would you give both of your sweeties some huggies, scritchies, and tummy rubs from their big fan in Trenton?

I have something like this at work, only mine meows everytime I get new mail! It's funny to watch people that hear it for the first time. They start looking all around and ask if there's a cat in here. :D

Aww! her happy Mrrraa! Mrrraa! There's almost a 'k' on the end of them. What happy sounds! LOL

It's so nice to hear the voice that goes with this gorgeous girl! :)

What a great idea, and she sounds so cute. :) You should have seen Fister's face, he was sitting in front of the speaker. LOL!

Kirsten..I just played this over and over about 10 times...I loved it so much.I love her voice.
My Bowie is the only one in my house that sounds almost exacly like her.
I love it.
I bet you love hearing that all the time knowing it's your kitty's voice.

Ha ha ha ha ha!! I played it and both my kitties came out of hiding looking for the mysterious kitty! LOL! So I had to play it at least a dozen times!:D

LOL, actually Lily is a very vocal girl with great linguistic skills. She makes the cutest sounds, like "nnnga!", "now-uhh", or "mmrha", and sometimes she even says something that sounds like "bao-ba!". Very cute! :)

Luna doesn't show much reaction to it, I guess she's used to it.


How did you do it?

My digicam has a sound recorder. I'll try to get more of these sound files, but it's difficult to make her talk the moment I press the button. :)
