We do cats, not dogs, and unfortunatly we do not have or get dog rates, and this pup needs help! Anyone able to help us?

MAX AND HIS STORY!

Poor Max has had the saddest story ever. He was owned by a family who brought him home, never fixed him and left him outside for the last 6 months that I know of. Then one night they moved out, before doing so they opened the gate and let him go, and drove off, as Max waited for their return. Luckly we were able to coax him back in the yard late that night. However the next day and the week following he would not come to us, he would run and wanted no one but the family that deserted him. Finally one day I chased him until I cornered him and made him accept me as a friend. I have taken him to pet smart a few times and now he has decided I am his new friend. He has since then dug out of his yard and into mine (literally). So since I had a new friend in my yard I carried him to the vet and had him tested, now he has come back heart worm positive. I have been informed it will cost 350.00 for the heart worm treatment and 150.00 for the Neuter and shots. This is 500.00 total, not counting the test I did, and the heart worm preventive they want him on. We are very saddened by this entire event and are asking that you please open your hearts and help us help Max. He has been through enough! He deserves a good life after all he has been through. If you can help us help Max then please feel free to Call our vets office and Donate towards his medical.
