Puzzle 174

Puzzle # 174 is now launched! Enjoy! :)

Rules:

1. You may only guess one letter at a time.

2. After you have guessed a letter, you must wait for another player to guess a letter before you can go again.

3. The host of the game responding to a guess does not count as a turn. Should you choose a letter, then receive a response from the member host, you must wait for the next member to guess a letter.

4. One point will be given out for each correct letter, 2 points for vowels.

5. Only six misses are allowed in the game.

6. If you wish to guess the puzzle, send it to me via Pet Talk personal messenger. This is accessible via the 'PM' or 'Profile' buttons on any of my posts. Do NOT post it on the forum. If you wish to guess a letter, post it on the forum.

7. You must have submitted a correct letter to submit your solution. Unlike letters, if you submit a wrong solution, you are disqualified from continuing in that puzzle.

8. The player who correctly guesses the phrase wins the game. If no one has guessed it correctly after six misses, then the player with the most points wins the game.

And here is what you win; you get to create the next puzzle. Should you win the game, and do not care to host the next puzzle, you may pass your puzzle play to the person with the highest points.

I sent a guess, but I think I got one word wrong. Oh well, I'm glad I got to play in this one! It should be solved when Randi puts the letters guessed in the puzzle.

Does anyone want to guess at the present time? Otherwise the next puzzle will go to the one with the highest points, because after the next update, it is solved!

Perhaps we should change the rules, so each person can guess a new letter again after 15 min. time. (after their own guess)

And also, we should stress that people look what letters are left before they guess?

What do you think?

Sorry, I just forgot to look back to page one :( .

I do agree that we were a bit "quick on the draw" today. However, 15 minutes sounds like bit much. Maybe next time, we should just respect the wishes of the puzzle hoster and stop guessing letters until the updated puzzle is posted.

Hi Pupperlover! Well, perhaps 10 min. then! If you're not sure what letters are left, you only have to look at the bottom of the post, or go back to the latest update.

A pity you had the one letter wrong. :( But you may still have a chance if no one is guessing soon and if Niina doesn't want to host the next! :D Let's see!

I haven't sent in a guess, so.... I'm stuck to a one word!

I usually do that. But, in my case, the letter "C" had been guessed before the updated puzzle had been posted. It had not been added to the new update, I'm assuming, due to the fact that you were being ambushed by letter requests. There were too many posts, for me to see it at the bottom of my screen. I was going to go back and check, but it was corrected before I could correct myself. No harm done. Just a bit of a puzzle frenzy, wouldn't you say?

This was one freaking fast puzzle!!!!:eek:

I'm still kinda new at this, but I think I am disqualified for my incorrect guess. Is that how it works?

Yes, it must have beeen the fastest puzzle ever! :D - and just 10 min. ago, the firebrigade turned up here in the street - 5-6 of them, but nothing much happened I think!

sorry I got that rule wrong !! I read it and thought that I could make a guess as I had asked for a "c" ( it was a wrong guess because somebody else had already asked for it ... ) .
Next time I won't make anymore mistakes ; I think I fully understand the rules now ... . Hey , I hope you guys are a bit understanding ... I love the game and I 'm doing my best , but sometimes it is difficult as English is not my mothertongue ... !:rolleyes:

Oh! I hope you all didn't think, by my last message, I was trying to change the verdit of the puzzle. I had just recognized there was a mistake in the post, and that I wasn't as dumb as I had thought ;). He he! :)
