The little ball of cuteness arrived this afternoon!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/intors.jpg
She came into the shop where she met the other dogs in small groups. Chum was afraid of her! Bandit told her in no uncertain terms that he does not play with puppies and she better leave his collection of gloves in the shop alone. She speaks good dog and Bandit's message was received loud and clear! The others mainly just sniffed her and moved on to whatever else it is huskies do all day!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/solittle.jpg
She is so little! There's nothing to her! She might weigh 25 pounds!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/bigguylittlegirl.jpg
Heyoka's head weighs more than Tehya's whole body!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/cutie.jpg
She is a cutie patootie!

more coming....

She needed to burn off some energy so she went into Pacer's pen for awhile. Pacer was on the couch! Anvik joined her as he needed to stretch his legs too!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/playing3.jpg
It was love at first woo!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/playingwithanvik.jpg
I have never seen Anvik play like this with another dog.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/play.jpg
They had a great time!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/littlemighty.jpg
Anvik may have found his soulmate!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/gotcha.jpg
Gotcha, big guy!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/nohidng.jpg
Hiding in the doghouse won't work! She can still find him!

still more coming....

"Hey, what about him? Can I play with that dog too?"
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/friends.jpg
Anvik needed to go inside before he got frostbite, so Mac took over the puppy entertainment duties.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/hotpursuit.jpg
She does love to run!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/deepsnow.jpg
Even in snow that's really too deep for her little legs!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/foxus.jpg
She's very curious and can be very focused. The border collie in her becomes quite obvious when she's watching something!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/kisses.jpg
She's a love! She wants to cuddle and would like to be a lap dog.

Currently she's in her crate for the night. She's exhausted. It's been a busy day for a little dog! She is smart as a whip. She knows sit and down. She knows off, but generally chooses not to do it. She likes to jump and give hugs. I'll teach her to do it on command like Anvik does. I don't mind jumping dogs if I see it coming!

She has shown her husky side as well. I put her in with Sundin while I made dinner. I can see his pen from the kitchen. She escaped as soon as she was done introducing herself to Sundin. I didn't see her get out, but I suspect she went through the fence. His pen is made with game fencing that has large holes in the top few layers. I think Tehya could fit through and there are a few climbing things in his pen that she could have used to get high enough!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v38/Glacier1998/Dogs%202007/littleface.jpg
Fortunately, she let herself into the big yard, not out of the property! I found her running and playing like she'd been a pack dog her whole life. She is going to be a handful, but she'll fit in here just fine!

I don't know how I missed the original intro, but she is too cute! I'm glad that Tehya found her home with you! Add another page to that future book, this one might need to be titled puppy love. ;)

Not only do I love looking at your photos, I enjoy the commentaries related to your events and reports. I think you should have a blog of your own......maybe you do!

Tamara, I never miss a post of yours, hoping to find as many photos attached as humanly possible. Your camera and "your camera eye" are the best. You live in the most beautiful country, and so, I really think you are the top on my list of Pet Talkers here.

Not to mention your heart and dedication to your pets. I guess Stewart should be included although he doesn't keep us informed as you do!

I cannot get enough of your posts.

I think I threatened to move in to your home a while back and that threat still goes. I will wait until spring to arrive.

That last photo, she looks like she has the whole world figured out. She looks brilliant and so much fun!!! And I think it's plain she realized immediately that she'd been rescued and has now found heaven. I'll bet you were beside yourself when you saw Anvik and her together, that's so awesome! Congratulations on your newest addition, she is spectacular. :)

She's so beautiful! It must really warm your heart to see her fit in so well from day 1. Tamara, I'm so happy for you and Stuart, but moreso for Tehya. As Phred said it, she hit the doggy lotto.

Do you think that Anvik won't be so clingy to you now that he has a buddy to keep him company?

Ah, but she's not a baby puppy. She looks like one compared to my big dogs, but she's 7 months old. A 7 week old puppy wouldn't be happening! Stuart has convinced himself she's a year old....whatever you need to tell yourself buddy!

Thanks everyone. Tehya had a good night. She whined for a few minutes in her crate, until she realized everyone was going to bed and she wasn't missing anything. Then she settled right down. Chewed on her kong for a bit and slept through the night. She was outside running with big dogs when I left. I was a little worried about leaving her in the main yard, but she is completely unconcerned! She is very confident and she responds well to cues from the other dogs. Stuart is at home today so he can keep an eye on things.

:p I just had to come look at these pictures again! BTW, Star sends woooos to Muskwa, she thinks he looks especially handsome in that first picture! Tahya, you've found your furever family, sweetie! So glad the boys lke her. How 'bout the girls? Has she met any of them yet? (crosses fingers she gets along with everybody except Kayleigh, of course)

: How 'bout the girls? Has she met any of them yet? (crosses fingers she gets along with everybody except Kayleigh, of course)

She's met Sleet, Paxil and Pingo. Pingo ignored her. Pingo doesn't know how to play chase and wrestle. Paxil told her off, but it wasn't agressive. It was just an "I am the boss of you" kinda lecture. Tehya understood and went back to play with dogs who actually play! Sleet seemed indifferent, but gave her a good sniffing. Sleet generally likes puppies, but she won't put up with anyone trying to play rough with her.

Tehya hasn't met Goldie or Raven yet, except through the fence. She'll meet Raven eventually. I expect she'll get put in her place and then Raven will be fine with her, as long as she's not in Raven's territory. Raven considers her pen hers and hers alone. In the big yard, she's much less bossy! Teyha likely won't meet Goldie any closer than she has, unless Goldie is on leash. She'll never meet Kayleigh, except through the fence.

I just booked her first vet app't for next week. I can't imagine she's had much vet care. She needs a check up and her rabies shot before they'll spay her. She's not showing any signs of going into heat, but if her owners wouldnt' pay 150 bucks to get her back, I doubt they paid 200 to get her spayed! That will be done asap!

Did you suggest Stuart set the Egg Timer so he REMEMBERS to go OUT

yup, she's a mix. She has very husky coat and tail. Her ears haven't decided if they want to be floppy or prick ears. She looks huskyish when they are upright.

She's here to stay. (let's face it, the vast majority of my fosters never leave either!)
