What Does Rain Bring? *Riley & Rebel pictures*

Well, depending on how much you get.... FLOODING!
Last night through this morning we've accumulated just over 2 inches of rain (says the weatherman ;) ) Now, thats ALOT of rain. The roads were horrible this morning with all of the puddles & flooding... and when I came home, parts of out back yard were flooded also.

We do however, have a secition between our yard and our neighbors yard in which a trench? like hole was dug 8 years ago when we first moved in. We dug it as per request of a farmer who's crops lay bordering our yard. With the hill, all of the run off water would flow down and wipe out his crops, so with the trench? like hole, it catches it and holds it until it absorbs into the ground and or evaporates.

So, in other words... its Full, and Riley and Rebel went a swimmin' today! (It was GORGEOUS out, 47 to be exact!)

ahh. As the tennis ball magically appears in my hand, Rebel's body seems to slowly levitate.
Rebel ; "What are you talking about mom? I'm still laying down!! Just throw the ball!"

Great Pictures,Rebel is soo neat looking where did you get your dogs from,Here in canada you see Red Border Collies and merles but nothing like Rebel.

LOL, yea they love their temporary 'pool.' In a few months the real pool will be open and they'll be able to swim around in there :)Also, Rebel came from a breeder.

I've seen quite a few red merle border collies here in the UK. They aren't as common as other colours but I've seen more of them than the blue and white, another nice colour.
My dad has a red and white bitch who's dam was a red merle and a very strange red merle at that. Most merles are dominated by the paler colour with the patches of darker colour but Jens dam was mainly dark red with cream and white patches on her. Very striking.

Great pics btw. Our Jess used to love launching herself off high ledges and such into water. I miss her being young and totally crazy.

I see your snow is melting fast too. Thats what it tends to do here....on the rare occasion we get it these days.

I absolutely LOVE seeing pictures of your dogs. I think Rebel is so cute with the one ear up and one down. :) And I love the pictures of Riley in his herding stances. The first pic of them with the frisbee in their mouths is way too cute!!!!

After they were done we played frisbee for a while, so just by running around they dried off quite a bit. When it was time go back inside a quick towel down and they were good to go! :)
