Very bad news today

:( I was talking to a friend at work today and she was telling me that her filly had poked a wire into her side and intestines were sticking out. She took her to the vet, bad news. she had gotten poked in the ribs by the lungs through the diaphram into the intestines when she got off the wire the intestine came out with it. The vet said they could do surgery to put the intestine back in, but they didnt know how much damage had been done internaly and horses dont survive gut injuries very well, she probably would die in a couple of days. So my friend had her filly put down last night and burried her she was only 6 or 7 months old. For the life of me I cant think of her name right now it will come later RIP little girl. :(

:( Oh...*crys&* that is so terrible:( Was it barb wire? Sounds like some pretty tough wire. I feel for you and your friend and pray that you will both be okay. this must be very sad for the both of you and I am also glad to know that the little filly passed to the rainbow bridge peacefully and not in pain.
