My sister and her sweet hubby came Friday and left Sunday on the first leg of their across county move from Florida to Washington state. With them, they brought their 2 cats Fred and Sassy and their poodle Kiki. Kitty Boo has been here for 3 weeks now and has settled in, having free run of the house. It was my sister and her husband that had Boo before and this was their time to tell her Good Bye along with the rest of us. Since we had Fred and Sassy shut up in my bedroom, Boo was free the whole week end in the house and things went a whole lot better than I had thought. I had Feliway plugged into the bedroom and in the living room to help calm everyones nerves and I am certain they worked magic. Kiki had run of the house and slept with them in my bedroom on the bed.

Fred is a beautiful boy, about 3 years old now. I think under the right circumstances, he would be a very sweet, loving boy.. Here he is on the kitty bunk bed.

Sassy is just so pretty and I was stunned at how much she reminded me of Giz... Her body is exactly like Giz's, including a long tail. She is a very shy girl and Sis had hoped to find her a home before they left but couldn't. She refused to dump her at a shelter so she is going with them to Washington.

Kiki in the carrier, remember this one? I just got it at PetSmart and let them use it for the trip.

Just had to show you this one. Boo sleeping with her man for the last time. Under the covers, sound asleep is my sisters husband. Boo always slept on him every night when they had her and she wasted no time sleeping on her man one last time! He is great with remembering birthdays and stuff and she said Boo was born September of 1995 so she is 11 1/2 years old now, she was given to Mama that December for Christmas.

Did Boo seem to recognize them?

There wasn't any fur flying Freckles. Boo is just not a socialble girl with other cats but I don't recall her even growling at them. She did reconize my sister and her husband since she hopped right on in bed with him.

Thats great that you had family visiting and that the Cats and Dog were able to have a good time together without a battle.
And that Boo was reunited with her Guardians.
Sounds as though a good time was truly had by all.

What beautiful company!!! Glad you all had a good visit and that Boo got one last snuggle with her favorite guy. I hope all goes well with their trip.

jazzcat, Thank God for cell phones and text messaging! We have text messaged off and on all day and I just got off the phone with Sis. They are in Texas, going another hour to stay in New Mexico (?) tonight. These last 2 days they have really had nice days and the riding in the big moving truck had not beat them to death yet. They are hoping to be at my brothers in Oregon Friday, and her daughters Sunday (Washington state).

She is a modern Grandma and really into that text messaging stuff! LOL! (I now have it so I can text with her and keep up with them.
