Okay, so I am not big on reptiles. Rats, yes. Cats, yes and Dogs, yes. Reptiles...never thought about em. Well, my brother and I went to the reptile store near his home to get his snake mice. Well to make a long story short...somebody left a 3 yr old Ball Python there that they had neglected, not fed, and kept in a small cage so her growth is stunted. I actually fell in love.... So....I took her home. The reptile store owner told me how to handle her and care for her. She will not get much bigger then she is now. She is sooooo sweet for being neglected. I just hope I can get her back on track. Well, without further ado... (don't mind the date....forgot to set it after I changed the batteries today!)

Dutchess, the Royal Ball Python.

congrats on the new addition, they can be the sweetest pets ever!
i know my ball python Jada Pirie loves to play hide and seek where she'll lick my wrist then slither to my elbow and lick me, then go up to my ear and lick me, its soo much fun playing with her. also she likes to swim in our bath tub, which is great exercise. also she likes to place her head in her water bowl and blow bubbles out her nose. what a ham!!! shes my pride and joy, althou shes just over a year old!

OMG!

She's simply beautiful!

I was thinking of getting one of those little green snakes that eat bugs and not mice,

My mom does not like snakes but she has held them before lol.

I have alot of re - search to do first and I hope I can get frozen bugs. 0.o

Great for helping that big baby out! hehe.

Does she eat frozen food?

No, she eats live right now. I have to get her back on track first then I may switch her to frozen. Right now she needs to eat, and if she will only eat moving prey, well, then I just don't have to watch! LOL!

She's beautiful!! Congrats on rescuing her. :)

I just read at another forum about someone that rescued a Ball that was being kept on 3!! yes, 3 heat pads. Poor thing was badly burned, but has recovered and the scar is nearly gone.

It is unbeleivable how stupid people can be!! That angers me. I am just glad the snake is well now. I hate people sometimes!!
