Yes, I finally took some pics of the rattie! http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif

I'm afraid they aren't very exciting or good-quality pics as it's still way too cold to take Tia out for garden time, and my camera refuses to take decent pctures indoors. http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/rolleyes.gif So, I only have a couple of shots from Tia's playtime in the bathroom, enjoy!

Aaand, here she is!

Having a scratch...

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01769.jpg

Heh heh, you won't believe how long it took to get this half-decent pose http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/wink.gif

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01770.jpg

..or this one!

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01771.jpg

Fiiiiiiinally she stops for a wash!

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01773.jpg

Ooo, mum, the carpet smells weird, can I eat it?

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01775.jpg

Hmm, reckon someone's coming through the door?

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01780.jpg

More coming...

Wherever there's a bag of treats, you can guarantee Tia's also in the vicinity...

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01777.jpg

Taking (or more likely SNATCHING) one from my hand http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01774.jpg

Ooo, what's this mum?

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01786.jpg

What? You want me to jump over them?

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01788.jpg

Well fine....

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01790.jpg

...but if you think I'm doing it again then you've got another thing coming!

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01791.jpg

And anyway, I can just push the jumps over to get the treat, so HA!

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01793.jpg

http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/biggrin.gif Still some more...

My brother brought a toy lizard in that he thought Tia might like to play with, only she had other ideas...

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01776.jpg

Where'd that pesky lizard go???

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01779.jpg

Aha! You can't hide from Tia!

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01796.jpg

Ooo, nice coat here, but not quite my size http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/wink.gif

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01795.jpg

So, what do you call these again, Kurt? Binoculars, eh? One question...

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01797.jpg

Are they edible?

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/DSC01798.jpg

Videos coming in next post...

First video, Tia just being her hyper self, biting the lizard and not wanting to sit still for a second!

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/th_MOV01784.jpg (http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/?action=view&current=MOV01784.flv)

And here, her alter ego, the cuddly soft creature she can also be. One thing, I know I look like I had my head dunked in the toilet, but I had literally just been in the shower a minute ago so my hair was still sopping wet http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/th_MOV01794.jpg (http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/?action=view&current=MOV01794.flv)

Tia still being cuddly, but she is sneezing! You might need to turn your speakers up to hear her as she sneezes very daintily http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/wink.gif

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/th_MOV01803.jpg (http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/?action=view&current=MOV01803.flv)

And finally, this is Tia following my brother around as he enters the room, she's always doing this to see if you want to give her any treats you may have handy. http://www.petoftheday.com/i/our_smilies/tongue.gif

http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/th_MOV01805.jpg (http://s75.photobucket.com/albums/i287/Miss_Z_rat_luver/?action=view&current=MOV01805.flv)

That's all!

She is adorable!! Have you ever tried to teach her tricks? I know rats are vry smart animals and can be easy to train (( I taught my grebil a difference between two snacks that are the same but different colors and she tells me which one she wants using my fingers then she picks out that color out of a mix of the colors))

She does know quite a few vocal commands, yes, but doesn't always choose to obey them! You're right, rats are highly intelligent and it doesn't take them long to associate words with a required action. Just like dogs, really.
