I may have mentioned that Edwina is named for Lady Edwina Mountbatten -- a woman I much admire. Well, I have to go to London in a couple of weeks on business and my "host", knowing my interest in the Mountbattens has said he will arrange a side trip to Broadlands -- the family home of the Mountbattens.

I am so excited. Wish I could take Edwina with me!

How fun!!

Be sure to take lots and lots of pics! Will Miss Edwina be receiving more kitty kat purr-fume? ;)

Well, the purr-fume was terribly French so I should bring her something terribly British. Any ideas??

I looked up Lady Edwina Mountbatten on the internet but none of the sites seemed to be very informative....Do you know of any sites where I can learn more about her?

There is far more about her husband than her on the internet. A pity because she was a fascinating woman. Here's a review of a book about her that gives you some idea of her.

She sounds wonderfully interesting!!! I am waiting for our next pet (or first child) to name after one of the people I admire most....Maya Angelou.... :)

"rich and idle despite her intelligence" -- I too, would like to give it a try!! At least the rich and idle part. Heck, I'd settle for just the rich part.
