After looking online for some cute collars for the girls, I decided that I would try and make my own instead of pay $75 for a collar/leash set, lol. My mom does a lot of sewing, so she had everything I needed just lying around in the sewing room (everything except the D-ring, that's why the pin is there -- I havn't stiched that part closed yet).

So umm...yay for collars! Please keep in mind that this is only my first try, lol, and I was only working with what I could get my hands on. The material only *remotely* matches the ribbon, haha.

The bright pink stuff is 1inch wide and made of cotten and the ribbon is...ribbon o.O

Soyay. Just wanted to show it off :D

Thanks everyone! I have no idea what the total cost was, but I asked my mom to give an estimate (cuz she bought all the stuff, lol) and she said it only comes to roughly $6 (D-ring included, probably). So yes, a money saver indeed!

I'm glad you all like it :D I just bought the D-ring, so it's finally complete...yay!

I also bought some new nylon and ribbon, enough to make a collar and leash set. I'll be busy tommorow, lol xD

Yes, I was considering making a martingale but mine are no good at all. (really, sometimes if ya need a laugh ask for the pic ;) )

Wow. Yours is really good. I can't even tell it was homemade. Better then the ones the pet store stocks.

Let us see! Let us see! :p

Seriously though, that is very impressive. I'll bet you could make some pretty decent pocket change selling those.

Very nicely done! If you do ever sell them, make sure not to use cotton thread. It rots and the collars bust open (trust me, been there done that  )
