Hey everybody on Pet Talk!
I just want to start a thread about how special your pets are. I think it would be great to share their stories here. It doesn't matter kind kind of pet they are- dog, cat, bird, hamster, snake or even a fish! It doesn't even matter if they are your pet. If there is a special pet in your life, share! Pictures would also be great! All pets are welcome! :)

Everyone here probably would easily guess that I'd say that my Don would be one of the most special members in this family, though all are equally loved! =]

Not just the fact that Don is my dream bird, but the fact that he has turned out to be everything I ever wanted in a bird. Most know that Quakers have the potential to have pretty nasty attitudes to everyone but their owner. I knew this full and well when I got him. I've met my share of evil quakers. Been literally attacked and bitten so hard by others quakers, but still wasn't turned off by the breed.

I helped hand-feed this little guy and have spent so much time socializing and training him. Its certainly paid off!

He lets just about anyone hold him, and only gets really nippy when he is having an off day. He is only cage aggressive, and I'm the only one who is able to get him out of his cage. Even then, he only gives me the smallest ammount of trouble. He gets along with all other birds and loves to show off once he gets used to you. He knows over ten words and continuously seems to learn new ones. He loves bobbing his head up and down on command, shaking hands, and playing dead; among other tricks. Though out of everything, he loves to laugh the most! As soon as he hears anyone laugh, he has to join in.

Out vet, who has worked with exotics for as long as I can remember says that he's definately one of the sweetest quakers he has met. Don has made alot of fans at the petstore I used to work at and even in his one visit to the vet, he made some fans!

Out of all the animals I have right now (a savanna monitor, 2 green anoles, a barred tiger salamander, 3 African dwarf frogs, and 2 zebra danios) my tiger salamander is the most special to me. He (named O'ryan) was the first of what I own now and will always have an extra special place with me. The amount of personality he has is amazing for such an amphibian. Not only that, but he is what I like to call "playable". I can let him to roam around without worry of him running off. Oh, and lets not to forget how cute he is!

:) I might get to borrow my sister's digital camera next time I go home. Right now, since I'm not home, my pumpkinseed is probably my favorite. He's got such an evil little devil attitude. But don't tell the others. I haven't got much time for the other fish, besides maintenence and feeding, but the pumpkinseed has a tank right by my computer so I get to see him glaring at me often. I feel bad sometimes because I'm out of pets besides my millions of fish and my dog, and I spend more time and money on the fish and don't even live with my dog.
I made my friend cry today, I told her how I went into the pet store and was going to buy a treat for my dog and my cat. Then I remembered Sonny is no longer with us. It hasn't sunk in yet that he died. I still opened the basement door before bed when I was home, his litter box was down the stairs but we had to keep the door closed so the dog stays out, so he had us as his butlers to open the door when he had to go. Then I remembered I don't need to open the door anymore. I miss my kitty, but no more large pets until I get done with school.

My wittle Angel is so cute and of course: special. She is now four years old and is a very happy kitty. Angel came to me when she was eight weeks old. My grandpa's friends gave us her.
Angel has many fur-friends. She loves to hang out with the stray cats: Blackie, Bootsie, Smokey. So far Blackie is her best fur-friend. Everyday he would wait at our house and Angel would sneak out to play with him. Blackie is also her boyfriend too! Bootsie is Blackie's twin brother and is also a good fur-friend of Angel. Smokey it the fur-bully of the neighborhood. He would chase all the cats (including Angel) around the neighborhood. He gets in lots of fights with other cats that living around here.
Angel loves to eat Cheetos. Well, actually she likes to lick the cheese of the Cheetos. Silly girl!
Angel is a very specail kitty to me!
