I just re-discovered our old EOS Rebel and I was wondering what I could actually do with it. It's pretty old and the manual is long gone, so I'm a bit lost as to where to start. I just looked and it says it's a 35-80 mm. I've heard some people talk about 35 mm lenses but I never understood what they were talking about so this is the time to shower me with your knowledge, camera people :p Also, how does one use the macro setting with a film camera?

35-80mm is the length of the zoom (mm=millimeter). We have this camera but I haven't used it in a long, long time. I have no idea about the macro setting, sorry :o

... old EOS Rebel ...
It's pretty old and the manual is long gone ...
Call Canon Customer Service at: 1-800-828-4040
But get the rest of the camera's MODEL Number before you call ...
There are more Letters/Numbers after the "EOS Rebel" ... many YEARS of
upgrades and revisions reflected in those trailing digits!
They might have an On-Line Manual available - be sure to ask.

You should be able to rotate the lense to change the depth of field, but I've never used that camera before.
