This site is so neat!
I've found it VERY useful since my hubby and I have been looking at houses to buy soon!
It gives a birds eye view of each house and the land around it!
I've found that not every address can found.

Put in the address and a map will appear, then in the box in the upper left hand corner, click on the little box that says "Click here for a birds eye view" when you scroll over it!

That is amazing! There's something similar called Google Earth, but this one seems to be more clear and detailed. I even saw our car, parked right in front of our house! I basically went to my city, found the nearby roads, and 'drove' to my house. Neat.

If you are house searching, there is another good site to use:

www.zillow.com

You get the bird's eye view, the assessed value, # bedrooms and bunch of other stuff.

Not all areas are up on zillow, yet.

I prefer Google Maps because Canada is included.

There are no aerial photos for Canada close enough to even see my own street on Live Maps.

As usual, it WOULD be neat, but Microsquash refuses to allow firefox functionality.

Wow! I could actually see the very small town in Finland where I was born! That site is great! :D

The Live Maps don't work for me, but this thread prompted me to download Google Earth, and it's so strange looking at my house! It must be quite an old aerial photograph though because on our driveway is the red Rover, which we must have got rid of about 8 years ago! :p

If you're using firefox, it won't work. Period. You can pull up the map, but you can't get to the sat photos.

Odd, I use firefox and it works fine for me  Have you updated to the newest version? I do get a box that pops up about if I want to trust the site's certificate or something but I just say yes and it works then.

I've tried it several times and I get microsoft error messages stating it will only work with IE 6.x or 7.

That's odd, I tried it on my other work computer too and it works with firefox on there. The only thing I can guess is that we are using different versions of Firefox.
