I'm not sure how many photos I'm going to share, but, I know there will be at least two in this thread. Amy's black and white photos thread got me wanting to share some of my photos, too. I got a B in class and I am sure I could have done even better if I'd not run into a total "writer's block" when it came time for our final project. We had nearly four weeks to work on it, and, I literally did my entire series of photos (ten total) in less than three hours two days before it was due. Not a good idea. It's a long story, but, basically I just couldn't think of a theme and I just ended up at this stables a couple days prior to the due date. I knew it would relax me being there, and that it would help me get my creative juices flowing. My project turned out great, but, I just know I could have done better on a few of the photos. The first one didn't even make it into my final ten, but, I really like it. :) Hope you guys do, too. (These are the unedited ones, I worked on them in photoshop before turning them in.) And, I just started my new class tonight (Digital Imaging I)!

I really like the composition in this one.

This is Domino. He's a coyote killer! Great, sweet, funny dog, though. I purposefully blurred this one, because it added an element of humor to the series.

This is the other resident dog. I can't remember his name, though. :/

And, I love the lighting in this...it's the farrier's shoe rack.

Found your thread after you posted about this on the Compliment Thread. You pictures are gorgeous, really good for your first course. I REALLY love the first one. So good with the lighting as well. The second one is cool too. Outside over there in those pictures look like great weather. Great pictures, thanks for sharing with us.

I think the pictures came out great. I haven't been to an actual stable, only the one at Seaworld with Clydesdale horses, but from the pictures I could see where it would be a nice place to relax. There's just something serene about the idea of large fields and horses and just relative calmness; at least away from the work and labor that goes into running the stables.

I really liked the picture with the rope and chains hanging from the wall. The one with farrier's shoe rack kind of reminded me of a horror movie at first. I didn't see the shoes hanging on the racks and couldn't figure out what the room was until I read the caption.

That fabulous talent is shining through!! Great pictures!! Congrats on the class. Some day, you'll be an A1 world class photographer, making mega bucks. We'll all feel fortunate that we "once" knew you when you first started ;) Keep up the great work!! :)

Thanks so much for checking out my photos! It means a lot to get feedback from people. I really enjoyed the critiques in the class, although it wasn't always good. It's a learning experience for sure, and I have a long way to go! I will keep you posted on how things go with my spring semester class (I hope to be able to take several classes next semester, once I'm considered a resident!).

Wonderful pictures. Your very good with the camera. I love the resident dog photo. It looks like he's watching over his place.

Yeah, they were both cool dogs. Domino's more of the watchdog, though. Nothing gets by him!

Wow, I love the second and fourth ones! They are really great! The sky is so clear and blue in the fourth picture, it's beautiful.

These are great--my favorite is the dog viewed from the back, it has such a nice feeling to it. The lighting is very cool in the last photo too!
