...and also Lily is acting confused and doesn't come down from the top the closet.

The new year is still three hours away, but Luna is hiding all evening, and she doesn't respond to anything, not even to her beloved "kitty light". She's just too scared of all these fireworks outside!

Both of them haven't eaten all day! :(

About an hour after the noise stops - they have to be SURE it is all over! - they will start to get back to their normal selves!

That 's how my cats react to fireworks at Halloeen each year.

These fireworks are pure torture to so many animals!

I guess Luna and Lily won't start eating before tomorrow morning, when the madness has stopped!

AWWWWW poor baby girls. It's terrible that they have to endure this.

I pray that after it is all over, they will be okay.

My guys aren't too bad when it comes to fireworks, it's my dog, Buddy, who is terrified of them. That and thunder. I swear if he could crawl under my skin, he would.

Poor babies, I hope once this horror stops, they will return back to normal.... Then comes July 4th and it starts all over again...

Oh, it's the same procedure every year, isn't it. Poor Luna and Lily, and all animals who have to endure this. :(

Fister is rather annoyed with it too, but so far, he's sitting here with me, and I could even cuddle with him just now. It will soon get a lot worse, so I gave him 2 mg. of Diazepam, that should keep him a little more relaxed. However, the effect hasn't set in yet, as I can see his ears are pointing straight forward and he's looking confused at the windows. If only we could put ear plugs in their ears!

Poor Fister!!! And poor little doggie Buddy! They sure has Luna's and Lily's sympathy!!

Mine got Bach flowers rescue remedy, and it seems that it has at least helped Lily; she's just sitting next to me right now. But in about an hour, hell will break lose here! :(

I know how you feel, my cat doesn't like thunder, and whenever there's thunder he is restless and wont' let me hold him or anything, but once its over then he comes back around to normal!:D Too bad there wasn't such thing as Cat earplugs!

Oh yes, earplugs would be great! A friend has suggested to play some music, but even that scared them today.

Funny thing is that the girls are not afraid of thunder, unless it's *very* loud.

BTW, just took some pictures of them, not too many as I didn't want to add any more stress (even though I think they are so used to being photographed that it's more like a "back to normal"-thing... LOL)

Here's Luna, hiding under the table in the living room:

And here, she's on her way to hide behind the couch:

And here's Lily, not as scared as Luna, but it's easy to see the her discomfort. Just look at her whiskers and her body language!

AWWWWWWW poor scared little girls. It breaks my heart to see them so scared like that. I just want to scoop them up and make it all better for them.

Hopefully the big bad noise will stop soon for you sweeties and then you can get back to relaxing with your meowmie.

Poor little girls. Too bad we can't explain these things to our babies! :(

It's heartbreaking to see Luna and Lily so scared. :( Look at the tail, the ears, the eyes... everything tells you she's so frightened. :(

Fister was out in the kitchen just now eating some crunchies, and then I put some shrimps in the bathroom, hoping he'd stay there, but he is following me around, wherever I go. A bit wobbly on the feet, now that the pill works, but not as scared as he used to be. :) However, it will get worse in half an hour.

Yes, it's most heartbreaking to see them like this!

Like Fister, Lily was also just eating a bit, but outside, it's getting louder as the new year is only a couple of minutes away, and she ran out of the room. :(

Thats a shame that they are so scared.
They have just arrived in New York, and are in thier rooms which for New Years Eve are very quiet.
Room Service has just arrived and the Quiet Cats are having a great Meal of Pates and Cheeses. While the Bolder Visitor and Angels are at Times Square , with the revelers.

That is the exact same look that mine have in their eyes. Chester just came out for his nightly prowl when it started here and he ran back to the safety of his hidding place. HE is the biggest coward of them all.
