Anybody read this book? It's coming out as a movie and it looks good. If you read it, did you enjoy it?

I read the book a loooong time ago, but I do remember some things from it. You probably don't want to know what I remember though lol it'll spoil the movie. I'm going to have to go through my bookshelf and see if I can find it again. But it was a very good book.

It was IMO one of those really good books that you really like, but never read again. I read it once, loved it, but never felt like reading it again. *shrugs* :p

I saw the trailer for it, kinda looked like a Narnia movie to me. My sister said she read it when younger and liked it.

It seems the movie industry is loosing there movie skills,

Now they have to use books ....

I just saw the trailer.

Perhaps I'm recalling wrong, but I remembered all the creatures and things as being part of Leslies imagination.

Anyways, usually when they make movies on books they suck. I hated harry potter, detested Narnia, all of them, the books are WAY better.

No your right, because I watched the trailer too and thought the same thing. Wasn't it all in their imagination?

Yea, the trailer made it look like it was all actually happening.

Good! I thought I was a little young to have trouble remembering things. lol :p

I've noticed that so many movies these days are based on a book, is a remake, or something else. I rarely see a movie that someone thought up themself.

I know I've read it, but remember NOTHING about it! How's that for wasted time;)

Oh I read that in elementary school! I don't remember anything about it except that I loved the book. I think I was in second grade? Maybe third? Ok, so it was a long time ago.....in any case, I'm excited to hear that they are making a movie about it, and I bet I'll see it. Although I agree with GreyhoundGirl, the book is always better than the movie.

Most movies are based on books, especially older movies. I really liked bridge to terabithia.

I also read it in elementery school-I don't think it was meant for small children. Looking back on it, yes it's a great book, but to have a class of young children read it, I don't know,it seemed to be aimed for an older group. It was a little traumatizing for me back then. :)
