Well, maybe "likes" is going too far. Put's up with and doesn't attack might be better. But I'm really shocked and pleased.

While visiting relatives Jenny and Tripod somehow got in the same room together, and no one noticed until I walked into the room and saw them lying down beside each other. (a true PTer through and through) I had to get you some pics.

I never thought she's be good with cats. At the pound they told me that they wouldn't adopt her to someone who had a cat, because she wasn't good with cats. I guess they just assumed she'd attack them, just like I did.

In some of them they are REALLY close to each other.

My cute little couple.

Seems to be clam enough with Tripod. Maybe she is good with other animals in neutral territory. I would still be careful to let her alone with cats, but with work, she seems like the PERFECT canidate for a multi pet household!! I am so proud :p

lol, I was so in awe at first. I was like .... wow...(low whistle)

It was a bit irresponsible of the SPCA to tell me she could never live with a cat. I wouldn't say "animals" maybe just cats. She's killed some other animals before, that's why I was so keen on keeping them apart. I think Tripod must've slipped under the door. Do cats do that often?

It is possible she slipped under the door, esp. with all of the commotion going on. Cats like being in all the action :p

The ASPCA was just trying to be helpful. They probably had information from the previous owners, or maybe Jenny was scared and freaked out when she saw a cat.

Is she part greyhound? I have ALWAYS heard that you never leave Greyhounds alone with cats (or smaller animals) because of their high prey drive. That they arent trying to hurt them, but if the cat runs, it might set something off. It is not the dogs fault, they are just playing. Just be careful, and be watchful. Jenny has killed before, so maybe she did that at the shelter. Who knows. I am just glad she got along ok with Tripod :D

I'm always surprised how much that cat moves, boy does he get around. He's sorta hop-limping all around the house. He can go quite fast too.

He didn't run much this time though. Maybe she had a calming effect on him . lol

It is nice to see how well they did together. It sure made things nicer for the humans not having to worry about them tying into one another.

I Have Often Wondered How A Little Dog Would Do With The Found Cats.
If They Do As Well As Jenny And Tripod That Would Be Fantastic!!!

Those photos are wonderful....looking at them as an "objective" third party it is obvious Tripod is the boss!!

Look at Jenny's face...that is a dog in submission. No nervousness for Tripod!

They look very well matched to me!

We often have Amber here, my mom's dachshund. Doxies have been used in hunting and they have a prey drive.
Ok, our Amber is much too spoiled for that but still....

If she comes here she knows absolutely she's in the cats' territory and moves rather cautiously. She often asks the cats to play by play-jumping in front of them and wagging the tail but they don't agree ;)

So most of the time it is peaceful ignoring each other.

But when one of the cats gets into these crazy five minutes Amber runs after them and starts to bark. Which sacres the heck out of the cats and they do what they can do much better than a doxie: jump at higher levels.

I don't think she could ever catch a cat in a moment like that- they are just too fast- but I will never leave them alone together.

So I wouldn't feel too relaxed with beautiful Jenny when Tripod would start to run- but in these pics they are so cute to look at together :)

She didn't chase him when he did run. That really surprised me. I guess she's scared of kitty-claws. (even though he's de-clawed  )
