Nice tanks. I see lots of twinbar platies. My platies always end up too aggressive to keep with goldfish.

The platys are not real...they are on the background sheet....they would end up as goldfish food otherwise....they look real though eh

pretty goldfish. My big white and orange spotted koi died 2 nights ago. I miss him! I loved him so much he would swim along the side of the tank and beg for food! so cute! He was the biggest fish I've ever had and he lived for about 4 years. I got him when he was just a tiny little baby and he had grown tremendously!!! He was a sweet guy he even shared a tank with some little goldfish.....

Gorgeous fish! Its so nice to see goldfish in tanks big enough for them. I'm sick and tired of seeing goldfish cramped in tiny quarters.
Good job for providing good care for your fishies! :D :D

Yes i know what you mean...these fish are actually rescue fish

The lady was going to flush them down the toilet as she was sick of caring for them...they were in a 2ft tank that was filthy...far far too small for them...and i found out there was 3 of them in there (each fish is approx 20cm long)....but she flushed one prior to finding me who wanted them

Poor things freaked when i put them in the big tank...not used to having so much space....but they have settled in nicely...and they are 2 truely beautiful boys....and i am pleased i managed to get them before their fate was sealed

I had to buy a new 2ft tank....the old one sprung a leak again and i didnt notice as i'd been at the hospital for most of the night and still wasnt feeling to well for most of tnext day. When i got up it was soon obvious the tank had breathed its last

Unfortunately i lost 2 cories and 3 danios...but managed to get the others into a bucket and hopefully they'll be fine

So now i have a nice new one....its the standard rectangle shape but is higher than the old one. No background as yet...and needs more plants eventually

Its half filled with rainwater and half town...so hopefully the PH should be lower...making it less stressful on the new additions that will be picked up in a few weeks

I made some new tank decorations today....i think they should look good....and a heck of a lot cheaper than what you buy in the shops

And the newest setup...it will be a betta tank

It has been filled to check for leaks....still have to buy a heater for it....still debating wether to filter it or not.

Some of the decorations above will most likely go into this tank

Hey! Thats -exactly- the shape of my tank, except mine is a 95gal (3ft on the back points, 1ft on the front 2 bits, and the front is 32" -- 2ft tall) -- do you know who the manufacturer is? I'd love to get another one for the other corner of the room :D

Also, are you using aquarium glue to assemble your new ornaments? I've made a few for the big tank, and am always looking for new info or techniques :) I totally hear you on the saving money thing, the prices that the LFS wants for their bits is ridiculous!

I'm not sure who made the tank sorry....but i'll keep my eye out for you and if i find out i'll let you know

The ornaments are indeed put together with aquarium silicon...mine are soaking at present to make sure all the nasties are gone
