I just took these today so you could all see what breakfast time is like at our house. As soon as the food is in his dish(my 2yr old son feeds Luca) and Luca has been released from his sit stay he and the cats enjoy his breakfast. It is a ritual around here. And the funny thing is he will not eat unless they are there to share. They only steal about 3 or 4 pieces each before Luca has gobbled down his meal. There are actually 3 cats. Prince is the only one that didn't make it into the shot. These are the first ones I have been able to take that are not fuzzy, of the cats sharing with Luca.

... he and the cats enjoy his breakfast.

OMG!

This reminds me of a very young First Shepherd Casey Dog and the brandy-new,
lil tiny kitten known as "Fred".

Fred could hardly walk and chew gum at the same time, and just managed to eat kitten krunchies ...
But she was fascinated with Casey's "big" food dish.

She'd often toddle up to the bowl and stand with her front paws just reaching
the top of the bowl. Casey was patient, and would gently reach over Fred and *munch* away. If Fred got two *pushy* - a single Dawg Paw was enough to brush the lil Crumb Catcher away for a while. That's the way it WAS.

Time marched on, and "lil Fred" grew large enough to get her head over the top of the bowl ... "HEY - there's FOOD in there!"

Fred struggled, but began to grab a Krunch or two by reaching over the top.
Casey would *Curl a Lip* and *shove* with her nose, but learned to eat faster and
didn't loose too much grub to the lil Mouser.

Fred became more "agile" - and finally managed to climp up and INTO the Dawg Bowl one day.

Casey *whined* and gave a soft *grrrr* -- Fred didn't even notice ...
She was too busy "chowin down" on huge Dawg Krunchies!

I *blinked* and missed it - but Casey reached into the bowl,
GENTLY took the Kitten's HEAD in her mouth,
picked her up and *dropped* her on the floor beside the bowl -
the immediately started eating dawg food.

Poor soggy-headed Fred - had dinner plate-sized eyes and *shook* her head for a moment ...
but wasn't injured at all. She kept *looking* up at Casey in disbelief ...
but never climbed INTO Casey's dish again!
Fred continued to swipe Dawg Krunchies - but with at least two kat-feet firmly on the floor!
