The kitties in Whoville were all up in arms
In cities in alleys, in haymows on farms.
Christmas was coming all over the land
And they needed someone to give them a hand.

"It's crowded & busy like a sale at the mall
There simply isn't room here - no room for us all!
The warm beds are filled - full, jammed and crammed
And food - why there's nothing, not bagged and not canned.

Folks can be fickle, and even quite rude
In fact, some people are terribly crude.
They kiss us and hug us, then the very next day,
"Out in the snow with you - be gone, go away!"

"Santa, can't you help them," cried the Whos with distress,
"I already have," said Santa, "so yes."
"How, Santa, can we find homes with love
For each hungry kitty who's gotten the shove?"

He winked as he answered, "It's only a start,
"And each He-who and She-who must do their part,"
Every person or critter, whether feathered or furred
Must do what they have to - just pass the word.

The She-cats and He-cats oh how they hooted
Another kitty need never be booted
A home for each one with a bed and a hug
A spot in the sun on their very own rug!

"It is right here in Whoville with each little Who,
The answer," said Santa "is YOU, YOU, YOU, YOU!
The answer is simple, but can't be delayed,
Each kitty and puppy must b e neutered or spayed!"

Oh Jen, what a sweet poem! It brought tears to my eyes. Any idea who the author is??

Thats A Great Poem, And Maybe If One Day We Have People Who Are Mature Enough To Care For Thier Pets, This Will Become A Reality.
Until Then We Pet Talkers Will Have To Clean Up Thier Little Ones Who Need A Furr Ever Home.
