In less than a month, I'm going to have a Brittany puppy, so I'm trying to think of names for it. I kind of want to name him (most likely getting a male) after a famous guitarist, or something music-related, because I'm a major guitar guy. Or at least a really unique and cool name. Any suggestions are appreciated. All I've come up with so far is Fender and Lou Dog.

I kinda like your first suggestion of Fender.

Random guitar-related words that sound like they'd make ok names when I am overly tired and hopped up on Nyquil:

Fret (sounds like Fred, which I like as an animal name for some odd reason)
Tab (although that sounds more like a cat name)
Amp (good for a high-energy dog)
Bass

And now some more general music-related names that don't deal with guitars specifically:

Zemirah is a hebrew name, the meaning of which is usually given as something alongthe lines of "joyous melody"

Lirit means something like "Musical grace"

Trilby is Italian for "one who sings musical trills" (good for a vocal pup)

Cadeo is Vietnamese for "folk song"or just "song"

Carmen means song or melody

Liron is hebrew for "my song"

Shiri is hebrew for "Song of my soul"

Lyric (obvious meaning) or a derivative, Lyra.

If you are a "guitar guy" then personally what
name could be better than "Hendrix"? Maybe "Purple Haze "

I immediately thought of Slash & Axl. Both would be really cute dog names, and Guns n Roses are freakin awesome. =) also... even though he was a bassist and not very good at it... Sid Vicious is a cute name.
