When I say this I am not being critical, but you really should charge an adoption fee of $200. This is not unreasonable, your dog has papers and is a pup. Lots of puppy millers, dog fighters (using your dog as fighter bait) and bunchers (people who sell dogs and cats to laboratories) get their dogs from people giving them away for free, especially an AKC reg'd puppy. Your best bet is to post or p.m. me the breed or mix of the dog, your area, and I or someone else on here can help you find a rescue club that will find an excellent home for your dog. If not, at least charge $200, ideally more to an owner that would suit your dog.
